  • Gougi Honkyo :: The Grand Citadel
[. Administrative Domain | Mission Alcove | Scroll Atheneum .]
Gougi Honkyo. The Grand Citadel. Within the confines of this massive fortress lies the heart of Iwagakure no Sato. The Grand Citadel is a castle in it's own right, complete with Environs, and an outer wall surrounding it. The Gougi Honkyo houses three essential structures to the Village Hidden in the Earth. The Administrative Domain, from which the Tsuchikage leads and guides the village. The Mission Alcove, where mission assignments, team formations, and exams are handed out. Lastly, the Scroll Atheneum, located deep in the basements of Gougi Honkyo, this vast collection of scrolls contains all the information one could want on Iwagakure no Sato. Some Restrictions Apply. These three structures make up the central system for operating Iwagakure no Sato.

  • Ittai no Sato :: Regions of the Village
[. Quartz Square | Residential District | The Frozen Labyrinths .]
Ittai no Sato represents the different regions within the Village Hidden in the Earth. One of the most popular areas within the Village is Quartz Square, a bustling market district founded upon a clear quartz bedrock. Perhaps the most populated region of the village would be the Residencial District. Located on multiple small plateau's, this area is the suburban region of Iwagakure no Sato, filled with houses and inns. The third region within the village would be the Frozen Labyrinths, a below-freezing area underground made up of a series of twisting and winding tunnels. Just in front of this region is a mediocre plain and coniferous forest where shinobi train. These regions conglomerated make up the whole of the Village Hidden in the Earth.

  • Tsuchi no Kuni :: The Earth Country
[. The City Torn Asunder | The Petrified Forest | The Mountains of Ancient Glory | The Underground .]
Tsuchi no Kuni, or the Earth Country, is the second largest country out of the five great nations, second only to Kaze no Kuni, the Land of Wind. Tsuchi no Kuni however, is a land of many landscapes unlike the desert country of Kaze no Kuni. The first landscape one comes across after normal rock formations is a plain of destruction. The ruins of an ancient city five times the size of Iwagakure no Sato mars the arid, rocky plain in which it lies. This nameless city's ruins were believed to be destroyed by the creatures dwelling on it's edge within a place as unknown as the city's history. The edges of the City Torn Asunder are marked by ancient trees that have been petrified over the millenia, these massive pillars of stone now stand as monuments of era's passed. These 'monuments' make up the Petrified Forest, a place filled of strange creatures, believed to be the summons of shinobi today. Along Tsuchi no Kuni's borders lies an old mountain range that tears into the clouds. Within this mountain range lies a mythical swamp, filled with legends and illusions of the old world, a city laided with gems of all kinds, and a mysterious valley. Along the coast lies the magnificent city of Port Saint Lucia. These distinct territories make up the diversity of Tsuchi no Kuni, the Earth Country.

    /-\ | Marble Halls :: Embassies of the World :: Pumice Bookhalls | /-\
The Phoenix Clocktower serve as a monument to honor the past Kajikages. The builiding itself is comprised of large bricks, layered on top of each other in a random yet exquisite display. On the top of the tower is a large clock. Underneath this clock are small statues, each of them made to appear like the past leaders of the village. This Clock Tower was reconstructed after Kasai's dreadful run-in with Criminal Suisha Amamizu.

    /-\ | The Pit | Shadowed Suburbia | Mongoose Marketplace | /-\
The great majority of the village of Kasai is residential and industrial, with several landmarks dominating the landscape. Such as the Pit, an area for shinobi training and a district that also contains the Granite Coliseum and the Ninja Academy. The suburbs are shadowed over by the volcano, and positioned so that most of the time the residents are tucked away from the blaring sun, which has also been designed for a quick underground escape if required. The Mongoose Marketplace is marked by a large fountain, built in memoriam to the late Kasaikage Khan Nus, the new name quickly having been adopted.

  • Kaji no Kuni :: Ash Country
    /-\ | Lake Iji | Outer Mountains | Pale Savannah | /-\
Lake Iji is a rather large lake that is known to be inhabited by rather large alligators, which are very infamous - there can be no doubt to their source. Vicious creatures lurk beneath the surface in this lake and several other small ones, such as Sharkbait Lake and Chi Pond. To the north of the village are several valleys within the mountain range, containing vast forests of ash and elder trees. The area is known for their big cats, such as Lynx and Bobcats, as well as large prey animals such as deer and caribou. Snow often litters the ground in higher altitudes. To the east and south are vast plains fading into more mountains and deserts, tall grasses giving a home to savannah animals such as lions and giraffes.

Overlooking the city on one of the most unreachable peaks surrounding the Hidden River Village stands the Castle chosen to be the Yukikage's fortress. Archeologists discovered its ruins almost by accident while the construction of the new ninja village was already underway. Reconstruction was approved by the Emperor for use by the Yukikage, and now the refurnished building stands as a testament to the marvels of old and new engineering combined in its architecture.

Kawa, renamed from its original project name 'Nadare', was discovered and unburied from beneath the snow. It seems that the ancient people in the village were buried by a freak avalanche caused by a volcanic eruption in the now dormant mountain that stands above the village. Now the Hidden River Village serves as the military defense center of the Snow Empire. Training its elite Ninja, Guards, Police and the elite Archers that each play their role in defending the Snow Country's cities and borders.

Outside the walls of the major cities, the Snow Empire boasts a variety of climates and landscapes. From the frozen glacial desert of the north, to the deciduous rain forest in the south, the four provinces are fun to discover for those who can keep their wits about them. Wild beasts of primitive and dangerous proportions loom in the corners of even its most barren wastelands, and the criminal elements are almost free to roam anyplace that is secluded from civilization.

  • Kirigakure no Sato - Kraken's Heart
[Storage | Court of Steel | The Sapphire Heart]
Kirigakure is a village of constant change, the tides of change have drenched the country with blood, and Kirigakure acting as it's proverbial heart has felt the brunt of the tides, changing not only it's capital cities' locations over the years but the style of the cities aswell. Long gone are the traditional imperialistic manors of the old ages, for in effort to stay competitive economically and from there military-wise, the village has modernized heavily. The 'village' in actuality is more befitting a city as it is now. The heart of the city remains military expansion, especially in recent years. The city is seperated into several sectors, all bearing important infastructure for the city and the country as a whole.

[Ruins of Umigakure | Valhalla | Hotei's Grave]
Kirigakure, like all villages, is not limited in geographical diversity to just the confines of it's city limits. The area around Kirigakure no Sato is inhabited, no where near the population density of the village itself, but inhabited none the less. Many young genin are engaged in missions here, dealing witht he procuring and protection of various industries that have made their home here, using the natural resources as their backbone. Aside from the obvious comercial aspect of all the natural resources, the country side has mountains, valleys, small villages, a city or two, and some beaches, all within walking distance from Kiri itself.

[Feral Plains | Web of Amida | The Seas]
Mizu no Kuni is far more then just Kirigakure no Sato and it's surrounding countryside, and thus has many other villages, cities, and geographical regions within it not limited to just the village. While no where near as popular, they are certainly worth note, and get their own fair share of action, whether the natives like it or not. Mizu no Kuni stretches far to the south of the visible map, laying claim to any island there.

Surrounding the village of Kumogakure and expanding out to the borders. The Lands of Raikou no Kuni are vast. Mostly covered in forests with a sprawling mountain range to the north of Kumogakure. Here is the home of creatures that go bump in the night and other strange oddities that call Raikou no Kuni home. Dotting across the land are smaller settlements, farmers and artisans mostly who don’t like the craziness of Kumogakure itself. Those are not the only people that call Raikou no Kuni home some clans, like the Kumouri, call the forests home.

║ Mission Board ჻ Shinobi Registry ჻ Sound Agenda ║
In the inner sanctuary of the village, a large meeting hall stands out with two golden horns piercing the sky. It may resemble a Buddhist temple complex, but it is actually the Headquarters of the Sound Village and the center of important information. The Sound Village utilizes a Mission Board, which hangs on a wall inside the facility. It allows shinobi's to select and complete missions posted up as well as create custom missions themselves. Also, the Shinobi Registry is located inside the Sound Headquarters and it keeps track of all Sound shinobi - as well as wanted shinobi. Bounty's are placed on wanted shinobi's heads and when the shinobi is collected, special prizes are then given as rewards. But most importantly, inside this structure the official business of the village is run by the Otokage and the Sound Council to achieve the Sound Agenda.

Otogakure is a vibrant city built above, below, and in the walls of a large canyon lined with multiple connecting wooden bridges, secret caves, and clandestine labs. Otogakure is also the capital city of the Rice Country and therefore houses every type of person imaginable. However, Otogakure tends to draw more intelligent people who desire intellectual freedoms. On the other hand, the village itself can be broken down into two main parts: the inner and outer city. The inner city is located in the walls of the canyon where history and artifacts date back to its settlement. The outer city is fairly new and it rises above the canyon. It is where most of the citizens of Otogakure live and work. Otogakure is steadily growing thanks to the villages massive power supply from its dammed waterfall. Protecting Otogakure is a large wall with only two gates surrounding the entire village. These gates look like demons and are the origins of many tales of the village's intent.

The Rice Country is more than its signature rice fields and massive forests. It is the largest grain exporter and is filled with dangerous jungles, hidden springs, unexplored caves, and a sprinkle of hidden treasure buried along its coast and in its forests. The Rice Country is a beautiful nation still recovering from the Great Shinobi war. It is slowly gaining influence over neighboring countries as the Otogakure shinobi expand their services to a broader range of nations.
