The Desert

[ Westlands ]
The Land of Wind is one of the largest nations within the known world, filled with diverse villages and settlements. The desert can be divided into four major sections, one for each cardinal direction. The rich coastal south, the unexplored north, the tamed east, and the dreaded west. See the description inside for further details.

  • The Westlands
    The land West of Sunagakure is a dangerous land of turmoil. Deserts traditionally are seen as being wastelands in nature, as very little can grow there. However, the Westlands are even worse then a wasteland. It is considered two things: lawless, and empty. Only nomadic people live in the Westlands, outside completely of the world of shinobi, the world of the Daimyo, and that of the Kazekage or Sunagakure. Essentially, it is a land foreign to the law, distant from society. This is a place where many bandits run their campaigns, and where missing-nin go to hide, though with caution, for it is easy for such hiding to become permanent. This desert claims many lives, and its sand is drinks richly the blood of those unlucky enough to get lost within this cursed land.
