Mizu no Kuni - The Kraken's Domain

[Feral Plains | Web of Amida | The Seas]
Mizu no Kuni is far more then just Kirigakure no Sato and it's surrounding countryside, and thus has many other villages, cities, and geographical regions within it not limited to just the village. While no where near as popular, they are certainly worth note, and get their own fair share of action, whether the natives like it or not. Mizu no Kuni stretches far to the south of the visible map, laying claim to any island there.

Among some of Kirigakure's islands, there exists land perfect for farming. These islands are typically dotted with small farming communities, growing rice, wheat, and other crops. The plains however are famous for other things as well, for there prowls many creatures on these plains, some tame, some not. One famous example, there lives several packs of wolves capable of swimming between islands that are not very keen to help humans, kept at bay by the farmers by primitive weapons. Other creatures exist. Most of the plains were used as battle fields in Kirigakure's earlier history, and thus are littered with the remnants of war, especially in the north, where bunkers are easy to spot and are even used by a wandering shinobi or two as temporary housing

Due to the rising water level within the oceans, some of Kirigakure's more smaller islands have been reduced to swamp land. The Web of Amida is a dangerous and sinister place - it, once upon a time, was the graveyard for those slain in the Kekkei Genkai holocaust. While the most recent were Kaguya, one may find bones dating back to before the inception of Shinobi villages here. The swamp has a few tar pits - although that should be the least of your worries, should you tread here. Evil and dark creatures stir in the night, and even darker secrets. In the pitch dark of night, being eaten by a grue is not unheard of. It is said in the center of some of the larger swamps, a web like structure has been made out of the bones of the unluckier travelers, but who or what does this remains unknown. At several unnaturally places of higher ground, there exists bamboo groves. These groves were the once clan compounds of the proud Kaguya clan, now extinct.

  • The Seas
Kirigakure is a nation built upon the seas. Surrounded by the ocean, the country is at the mercy of the waves, and has learned to interact with them and live in accordance with them. A massive network of boating, cruise ships, piracy, and otherwise water-exploration has long dotted the comercial history of Kirigakure to this day. Likewise, many small islands dot the coastline of southern Kirigakure, getting progressively warmer as they descend. These islands, despite their danger, have become quite a tourist location as of late.
