Jungle. Bloody jungle. After a brief excursion into the forests of Kumo during his last job for ICARUS, Shinkousha had developed a distinct dislike for most flora and fauna of any substantial size. Say, like the massive web of vines currently threatening to entangle his feet during this battle. Pursing his lips together and furrowing his brow, Shin hefted Seisuiken from his shoulder and swept it easily through the treacherous growth. "Ah, that's better."

Shinkousha had faced two enemies already, just like the young man standign before him. Both were no name, no talents. Lackeys easily overpowered through greater speed, strength, and firepower. Due to his trick summoning seal, Shinkousha had managed to beat both easily enough. WHen a man was busy guarding against a weapon as massive as Seisuiken, a kunai, senbon, or tanto was easily small enough to slip between his guard, expose the flaws, and bring the man to his knees. Shin happened to be a walking arsenal of said weapons. Under the flood of cutlery, his foes hadn't stood a chance. This posed a very distinct advantage for Shinkousha, or so he thought. He hadn't been forced to reveal any of his Ninjutsu secrets yet.

And then he realized who his opponent was. Onigami Ryuhou, one of his subordinates in the assault on that beach. Now that had been a fun party, unlike this particular jungle. "Well, I guess we better get to it. On the off chance you win, make sure Bossman gets his cut, or he'll be seriously ticked." As his voice drawled out of his mouth, Shinkousha stepped forward, slinging his blade in what seemed to be a reckless maneuver. First things first, clear out the foliage for his opponent to hide in. Imbuing his horizontal slash with Wind Chakra, performing his Kamikaze Yaiba technique to release an arc of cutting wind that bit deeply into most of the trees, severing limbs, and quite a few trunks. Who knows, maybe if he got lucky, the Onigami would be crushed beneath on of the falling forest giants...

Spoiler:
Name: Kamikaze Yaiba -- Divine Wind Sword
Rank: B
Range: Close - Far (35m)
Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu
Elemental Affinity: Fuuton: Wind
Clan: N/A

Description: Everyone and their blade-wielding, Fuuton-using, dog has a technique in similar function to this one. Being a Kenjutsu practitioner, and a user of Wind Style Ninjutsu, Shinkousha can mold his chakra to his blade, performing a Wind change in Nature to the chakra as he does so. This allows for him to place a thin blade of wind surrounding the weapon in his hand. This wind-aura can be extended from the blade for a close range attack, doubling the effective cutting length of whatever weapon its used on, (A three foot katana has an additional three feet of wind-sword on the end of it), or it can be "thrown" as a ranged attack. This blade of wind is singular, and if thrown, requires an additional expenditure of chakra to create another one on the blade. As the blade crosses distances, two different effects can be triggered. The first is that it stays the same as it moves, dissipating at its maximum range (a three foot blade stays a three foot blade). The second is weaker, and dissipates at only 20 meters, but the blade expands as it travels (A three foot blade thrown horizontally will reach twenty feet long by the time it dissipates) Its cutting capacity is rightly feared by many who have gone against it, capable of cutting through most non-chakra-enhanced, standard ninja tools.

"Sorry, boss. Can't afford to go easy on you."

If Shinkousha seriously thought he was dealing with the same boy he had fought beside in Icarus, then he was about to be in for a surprise. Over the past four years, Ryuhou had almost literally put both body and mind through hell itself, emerging on the other side as a completely changed individual. The man standing opposite the Captain was no longer the rage filled boy who had tore his way along the beach on that fateful day; with any luck their long overdue reunion would knock his superior down a few notches and finally garner a bit of respect.

As the ranged attack rather audibly tore towards his position, Ryuhou jumped into the air, drawing the long blade from his back as he did so. Within moments of being freed from its sheathe, the weapon began to burn with power; the spiritual energy which poured from his limbs into the blade in a flame-like pattern. As he moved upward, he let the blade drag through the air with his movement, leaving behind a faint line of spiritual energy, hardly any more thick then a length of razor wire. Upon reaching maximum height, the samurai spun his blade about, severing the connection between blade and wire, while kicking hard against the air itself to propel himself farther away from his massive opponent.

Freed from the constraints provided by the connection with his blade, the thin wire of spiritual energy quickly hardened, before firing itself through the air towards Shinkousha. A horizontal slash would have been more effective,a nd harder to dodge, but even if he had stated he couldn't afford to hold back, Ryuhou also couldn't afford to rush in like in the past. He would hold back and learn what he could, and when the time came, unleash everything he had learned.
Spoiler:
Name: Seiryuu-ryu: Amiboshi (Azure Dragon Sword Style: Neck)
Rank: C/B-rank
Range: Mid to Long
Jutsu Type: Kenjutsu
Elemental Affinity: None
Clan: Onigami Clan
Description: One of the 7 Mansions of the Azure Dragon. This technique requires great Spiritual Energy control. The users most release some Spiritual Energy from their Konbuki making them shine and look like a flame around the blade. After this the user will slash in a straight line towards the target and leave a very thin line of Spiritual Energy in the trajectory of the blade, once the line is formed it will harden and immediately shoot forward in a straight line. This line of Spiritual Energy acts like a wire but the dangerous part of this technique is that only the ends of the "wire" are being pulled so the wire will cut trough any thin surface like a neck for example or wrap around a sturdier one. If the user has two weapons this technique is called Amiboshibai or Double Neck.

Name: Tenmichi (Sky's Path)
Rank: C-Rank (B-Ranked Samurai+)
Range: Close
Jutsu Type: Taijutsu
Elemental Affinity: None
Clan: Onigami Clan
Description: Due to the Onigami's inability to perform simple ninja techniques just as water/wall walking, they have developed a technique that allows them to bypass such obstacles. This technique is a simply kick performed by the user in mid air, however the kick is not aimed at a target but in the opposite direction that the user wants to move to. In other words by kicking the air the user is capable of changing directions in mid air and at higher levels stay in the air for short periods of time. The user simply kicks the air in the opposite direction to where they want to go, this kick cannot be so weak, flaky kick but a strong and fast one. As they kick, they also release a burst of energy from their leg helping in propelling the user. By kicking with both legs at the same time the user can shoot in one direction much faster than normal and keep a steady balance but using only one leg is also possible. There are variations of this technique as each Onigami member has their own way of using it but this is the basics of this technique.

A simple lean likely would have been enough to put Shinkousha out of the path of harms way, but rather than take his chances, Shinkousha decided to bring the fight to the enemy. Twirling Seisuiken as though it were only a baton in his hands, it vanished without a sound, disappearing into the limitless void held within Shin's palms. Free of that weight, the young warrior applied the full might of his legs, catapulting his body high and to the right, aiming for a tree. Hands free, the signs formed effortlessly, Kamikaze Bunshin. The very winds themselves swirled about Shinkousha's position, creating to mimics of his weaponless person. Not for long. As the three man cell ricocheted from the tree they were about to encounter, launching themselves in a zigzag formation towards the enemy, Shin released two katana, distributing them to his clones.

Stopping at the next tree branch, Shinkousha allowed the two clones to move forward to attack. So he'd evaded Kamikaze Yaiba, that was no big deal. Now it was time to see how he handled Shinkousha's sword work. In retrospect, it probably would have been far more beneficial to simply blast his opponent out of the skies with a blast of Wind Chakra, but this wasn't simply about winning the battle by ring out. No. If these two were going to fight, then it would be the sort of fight they both enjoyed. Bloody.

"Never asked you to go easy, Kid. Show me what ya got." Deciding to leave Seisuiken sealed for the time being, Shinkousha began readying himself for the next assault. Depending on how Ryuhou handled the two clones, Shin would know whether it was safe to engage up close, or if he needed to keep his distance and use more Ninjutsu... Maybe some Suiton, just for Old Times sake?

Spoiler:
Name: Kamikaze Bunshin -- Divine Wind Clone
Rank: B
Range: Far (50m)
Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu
Elemental Affinity: Fuuton - Wind
Clan: N/A

Description: The second to last in Shinkousha Fuuton arsenal, the Wind Clone is precisely what it sounds like. A clone made of wind. But not just any wind. This isn't a gentle breeze to caress your face and send you to sleep. No, these are 60 or 70 mph winds. A clone like this is formed via five handsigns, and have limited physical mass. However, if a Wind Clone should be struck with sufficient force to break the thin shell of chakra that holds it together, the wind will escape violently, much like an explosion, only without the flames. The resultant force is enough to send a victim flying.

"Clones... typical shinobi, then. Shame."

As the wind clones approached his position, Ryuhou drew a second blade from his waist, a generally unimpressive katana of common make. After his previous maneuver and attack, he had come to rest upon a large branch higher up in a tree; with a powerful kick from both legs, he both snapped the massive limb and sent himself flying forward, aiming to meet the clones in mid air.

"Amiboshibai."

His previous technique would be repeated, this time with dual blades; Neck would become Double Neck, resulting in two thin wires of spiritual energy slicing across the clones, high and low. Even as his blades tore through the air, setting up the technique, a second surge of spiritual energy was diverted towards his legs, in preparation for another aerial maneuver. With yet another powerful kick, he changed his angle, diving low under his own technique, and the resulting bursts from the clones it had likely town apart. As he moved, he let the second katana fall from his grip, stabbing through branches and leaves until it at last met the ground below. For the time being, it had served its purpose.

Landing lightly a few feet away from his fallen weapon, Ryuhou almost lazily changed his style; the refined kendo stance was replaced with a more relaxed form. The tip of his blade, held in a loose grip, still burned with spiritual energy, although the weapon's tip was resting upon the ground below. Counting off numbers in his head as if measuring distance, the samurai awaited his opponent's next assault.

Shinkousha pursed his lips in thought. Strategy generally wasn't his strong suite. He preferred to just get up close and cut the other guy. But trying that with this Onigami kid, well, that would end up getting him hurt, judging from how his two clones had held out. Granted, they weren't much in comparison with the real deal, but they had his physical properties, which was enough to nudge Shin into caution in forming an attack strategy...

Right, the plan was ready. Okay, not really. Mostly, the plan was to throw more force at the problem.

Shin lightly stepped off the branch he'd been standing atop, using the trunk of the tree as a friction brake to slow his decent to the ground for a moment. Not wasted time of course, he couldn't afford any of that. He could try using Hikkomeru to throw off the other man's guard, but given his physical build, and the number of blades on his person, he'd likely just root himself with those swords. So, Shin would have to meet him head on.

Once his feet reached terra firma once more, Shin charged, the handseals flowing easily. From his mouth and right hand he then fired a total of six bullets of compressed water. Concussive missiles, aimed in Ryuhou's direction. His left hand however, was suddenly filled with a sword, a nodachi to be precise. An extra long blade might give him the advantage he needed to take down his opponent. And if not, well, Shin had some other tricks up his sleeves...

The nodachi slipped up from where it had been trailing the ground behind Shin, coming around in a wide arc from Shinkousha's left, aimed at Ryuhou's right arm. Take care of that, and the battle would quickly follow, right?

Spoiler:
Name: Suiton: Kibaku Dangan-- Water Release: Exploding Bullets
Rank: C
Range:Far (10meters+)
Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu
Elemental Affinity: Suiton-- Water Release
Clan: N/A

Description: The Kibaku Dangan is another principle water style technique, commonly used because of it's usefulness. The user will activate the jutsu using the seals Mi, U, Uma, or Snake, Hare, Horse, and can then fire a 'bullet' of water from his person, either his mouth, or, in Shinkousha's case, his hands as well, via the seals he has water stored in. The water connects with high concussive force, and bursts upon contact, in order to cover the victim in splashes of water. Maximum Range 35 Feet, and Shinkousha can only fire three blasts of water from each entry/exit point of the seal before he must reactivate the technique.
