Grave Robbing | Open

Stepping threw the brush Kyoji pushed the branches from his face. The leaves still moist with a film of morning dew left upon them as the blanket of mist came over the island. This being his first visit to the region Kyoji was unsure of what to expect. The only pictured painted in his mind was one crafted from words. Words of towering thick forest filled with all kinda of creatures of the imagination.

Yet there he stood, stepping through the brush to a sea of debris and bones; the remnants of Kirigakure.Spinning his head upon his shoulders he looked to and fro. Not a single sign of life nor spirit remained within eyes reach. In its stead was a much more familiar feeling; death. One he knew all to well from working in the graveyards of Otogakure for nearly 3 year now.

Moving through the debris he made sure to watch his every step, prancing about the ruins like a ballet dancer. As he did. the tune to his personal theme song began to reverberate from cloaked figure. Using his brain, Kyoji made sure to leave his usual Oto-uniform, just in case something happened wot go wrong. He did however come prepared for such an occurrence. Bringing both his bag of bones and 2 fully supplied pouches filled with kunai, shuriken, wire, explosive tags, and most importantly; rations.

Of course that was for a worst cast scenario situation...

Moving on, he passed by what he could only imagine was a old clinic or hospital of some sort judging from the crushed beds lying beneath the concrete rubble. Stopping to further examine scene he quickly came across a small set of bones. A child. Crouching down he looked over the bones for a brief moment. Definitely a child... no older than 5 by his guesstimate. Covering his face with his sleeve he rose to his feet before moving on.

Stopping just before he took his next step he turned back to the small childs body. "Dibs!" Reaching down he grabbed and snapped off 2 of the child;s ribs before stuffing them into his bag of bones.

Though he'd heard of the rumors of it's destruction, seeing it first hand was more than he could have imagined. One thing was for sure...
It made his job a whole lot easier.

So this was what happened to his old village?

Kiri used to be his home. Problem was, it was destroyed a while back during one of his trips away from the village. He wondered how bad it was for the Kiri-nin. For him, it wasn't THAT bad. His clan were known wanderers, and him travelling around wasn't too much of a problem. Thing is, no matter how much of The Wanderers' spirit he has in him, he knew living in and being allied to a Hidden Village had its perks. He didn't have to worry about where he was going to sleep when the sun came down, or set up traps around himself when he did sleep. He didn't have to worry too much about that person a few feet away from him. And if he was injured, he didn't have to worry too often about where the nearest hospital or clinic was.

Speaking of hospital.

He entered through the door, making sure to take a step back. He removed the yellow sunglasses from his he tucked them into the pocket of his trench coat. He didn't plan to be here for long. All he wanted to do was search for some medical supplies and get out. He kept his transformation going, mostly to prevent the glow his true form would give off. The last thing he wanted to do was alert someone hostile to his presence. He took stepped through the debris, watching his step carefully as he looked around, trying his best not to let anyone get the drop on me.

"Wish I may! Wish I might! Find me a cold dead corpse tonight-"

Like a deer in headlights Kyoji stood frozen in place. Standing still his head lifted to listen to the sounds carried by the winds. Eyes closed tight. Mouth zipped shut. Kyoji began tune out all other sense and focus solely on his hearing.

Within moments his eyes opened wide before he took off sprinting. Both hands reached for Kunai tucked within each of the hip pouches. Arms still hidden beneath his black cloak allowing him to keep his hands concealed just in case things got sticky.

"Bleh! Just my luck...B" Moving with ease over and under the debris of the hospital build he approached whoever or what ever was.

As he stepped through, he looked left and right, trying to figure out where such medical supplies would be located. Though he went to this hospital a few times (making sure that his room was secluded), he didn't know the layout of this hospital enough to know where such things would be held. Sighing, he kept on walking, but he stopped when he heard footsteps. He quickly reached into a pouch on his leg before he pulled out a kunai as he turned towards the direction of the sound.

Crap, why now?

Rather then moved towards the source of the sound, he decided to go for a more... deterrent action. He pocketed the kunai again before he formed three seals in succession with his hands. Once that was done, he felt the energy radiate from his body. If whoever was coming after him was a threat, they would have some trouble attacking. If not? Well, he can just dissipate the jutsu.

Name: Radiation Release: Fatigue Field
Rank: C
Range: 5 Meter Radius
Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu
Elemental Affinity: Radiation
Clan: Hōshasen

Description: Baku will form three handseals. After that, he expel radiation energy from his body in all directions that reaches up to five meters. Anyone within that radius will begin to suffer fatigue. Each turn they are in this field, they become more fatugued, with their actions and movements becoming slower. The downside is the rather short range, making this useless against long-range specialists.

Moving closer and closer Kyoji stayed true to his course. Both arms now out to his side in preparation for attack. An attack that he had hoped would seal the deal quickly... As his luck would have it; that wasn't the case.
As he continued to get get closer a sudden sensation of exhaustion and tiredness barreled over him like a wave. Immediately he stopped. The silhouette of a person could clearly be made out in the distance, blanketed by a fading plume of mist. Was this their doing?! Where they alone?! Unable to answer those questions he quickly took two hops back; putting a bit more distance between them for the time being.

Dropping both kunai at his side, they fell to the ground, stuck, tips embedded deep within the tiles of the hospital flooring. Bringing both hands to his bag of bones, hanging from his belt just above the crotch. Grabbing a hand full of small bones in both hands, he placed his hands back to his sides. The faint sound of rubbing and grinding bones resonated from his hands.

Not wanting to make the first move, he simple waited, hoping the passing plume of mist would move on like a cloud blocking out the sun on a sunny summers day, revealing the bright beauty that is the sun... or in this case, a possible enemy.

His jutsu was a success. He saw the silhouette stopp suddenly before backing away. At that point, he knew that he/she/it was out of his range. Baku kept his eyes on his target, expecting an attack. He saw the figure shift around, probably preparing something. However, after a little bit of waiting, nothing happened. The young Hoshasen narrowed his eyes, wondering if this guy, girl, or thing, wasn't as aggressive as he thought he was. Baku took a deep breath, but kept up his jutsu, not wanting to drop his guard just yet.

"If it's all the same to you, I'd much rather NOT have to get in a scrap today," he called out. He offered the olive branch. Will it be taken? Baku wasn't sure. But if it wasn't, he'd make sure that he would drop his transformation to really give it something to fear.

Fair enough! This faceless boy, judging from the voice, seemed to have a solid head on his shoulders. Perhaps it was best he keep it that way. As long as he didn't get in the way of Kyoji's task, there was nothing stopping them from agreeing on a temporary truce.

"Che. No complaints over'ere. " Still hidden within the blanket of mist, he took extra measures to secure his own safety; as any smart shinobi would. The small bones within his hands fell to the floor, where they would remain. For the time being. "Whad'a ya say we come forward just abit. Get'a clear look at whom I'm talkin to..." After speaking, it would be clear as day that Kyoji wasn't from these parts. If anything, his dialect would make him sound a bit odd or hard to understand.

Stepping from behind the curtain one would see a rather tall figure. Standing at 5"11 he was by no means small. Hiding nearly all of his body was a black hooded cloak that hovered just a mere inch off the ground. His arms remained to his side; hidden within the sleeves. His head covered by the hood, only gave vision from the tip of his noes down to his neck. With no distinguishable features or markings, making out or identifying him would be extremely difficult.

Exactly as intended.

This was the tricky part. Baku had two faces. There was the face he had whenever he was using his transformation technique... which was almost all the time. Then there was his true face. That was the problem with being part of a clan who has to use an advanced transformation technique to hide an appearance that sent people scurrying for no reason. So what to do? He could show step out in his transformed state.... but considering that he used the form a lot, he wasn't so sure if he wanted to give him a good look at what he usually looked like. He could step out in his true form. Best case scenario, this guys run. Worst case scenario, the fight he wasn't trying to avoid would have to happen. After taking a few moments, he decided to go with the latter.

He took in deep breath before he released his transformation. He then dissipated his Fatigue field before taking a few steps forward. He didn't say anything as he came to a stop. He was just waiting for the next move, preparing to defend himself if needed be.

"Well i'll be damn, that there ain't something you see everyday..." Peering at the green beast before him he tilted his head as he tried to figure out what was before him. The green glow of his body reflecting in his eyes. "...let me get a look at'cha" Stepping to him he tilted his head back ever so much as to allow him to get a full look.

Having worked in the cemetery for s many years there were few things that would catch him by surprise. This glowing green man before him had just been added to the list; the very short list at that.

"I appreciate ya trying to avoid a scuffle. I ain't tryin to start no trouble round here." He spoke with truth in his throat. The last thing he wanted was conflict. "I'm just in these parts for my job. Nothin more. Nothin less."

[quote="Brera"]"Well i'll be damn, that there ain't something you see everyday..."

I could say the same thing about your reaction, Baku though as he kept his eyes on the hooded figure, still not sure whether he should let his guard down or not. Especially when the guard moved closer towards him, his gaze remained locked on the figure approaching him. Being sure to be ready to at least reach for his kunai if necessary. Honestly, he felt a little uncomfortable, if only because he wasn't used to this reaction. At this point, he would have been either attacked or see thing the person run straight the opposite direction.

"I appreciate ya trying to avoid a scuffle. I ain't tryin to start no trouble round here.I'm just in these parts for my job. Nothin more. Nothin less."

"I don't what you will find here," Baku said in a conversational tone. He was a little bit more relaxed. While he still wasn't completely comfortable, he was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. "I, myself, came for medical supplies, and I'm not sure I'd be lucky enough to find an empty bandage wrapper."
