A Rough Start (Ryuuchi | Raika)

[ \Sakura Hiroba | Kamiza | Yomi/ ]
The capital city of Raikou no Kuni, nestled between mountain peaks in the center of the country. Its altitude and location lead to common snowfall, though it is not necessarily cold throughout the year, clear days often leading to be as warm as summer. At the southern end of this star-shaped city lies a great stone bridge spanning a large lake, connecting to the road back down to the rest of the world. The home of both the Daimyo and Kamiza, the Onigami Compounds.

Once Daisuke had read the paper, she folded it up and placed it back into her journal, snapping the two ends closed.

"I-man dun...seit bak doun."

She became alert, then did as instructed, reclaiming her seat.

Hm. Maybe that's his way of saying yes?

"Yah tu Beenie...seit."

Beenie. Must be what he's calling the other one.

Asoka looked at Koyuki again, closing her eyes, offering a warm smile in the general direction and gesturing toward the seat.

Her eyes opened again at the sound of the sizzling food, her curiosity piqued enough to raise in the seat and try to see what was being made. There were lots of ingredients going into the wok, and from the looks of it, she enjoyed all of them. The tantalizing scent filled the kitchen area and sent her tummy to rumbling. It was surprising to her that Daisuke seemed to have the cooking craft of a professional chef.

Daisuke turned around to face them, then back to the food. Finishing touches?

Sure enough, she had a bowl in front of her. Daisuke began eating immediately, stopping only to unhinge her jaw. Thank god. Picking up a pair of chopsticks, she began to eat–timidly at first. The citrus beverage complimented the meal well.

Reaching into her bag, she nudged what was inside of it, picking it up by its front legs. Hisano sprang to life.

"Huh? Man, that was some good sleep–"

"Shhh. Meal time."

The rabbit nodded, resting in her lap. Asoka couldn't possibly eat all of the food given to her, and her companion had to be hungry. She pinched tiny bits between the chopsticks and fed the creature. It nibbled them hungrily, as if it had been starving.

"Don't you splinter my chopsticks," she whispered.

"Have you seen my teeth?" Hisano whispered back.

"Oh you." She put her utensils down and brushed the top of its head with her finger. While Asoka petted him, Hisano opted to continue eating, grabbing the foreign wood sticks with his stubby front legs and failing to bring the food to his mouth.
