Brown eyes quietly studied blue's warmth and his expression... before she gave in with a soft chuckle.
A moment later she was gone, and a brown peregrine falcon appeared in a dive from the branch, pulling out of the dive a mere foot from the ground before shooting upwards in a corkscrew maneuver to escape the canopy and reach the darkening skies above, attentive golden eyes taking in the landscape above and below as she glided with the wind high above the world....
Meanwhile, Watanuki was gazing up after her with a low whistle.
"Never known of another human able to fly as well as our Silver Dragon," he chuckled proudly. "Transforming into a falcon.... I bet she still thinks about the ol' Hachidaime. I heard that, back before everything happened, she'd visit his statue near every day.... He was a good man, ol' mister Fei Long, he was." Watanuki nodded, his arms crossed... though the sound of his rumbling stomach rather ruined the moment. Without missing a beat, the aged man was cheerily addressing his so-called son, "Oi, Sakura, how's the food coming? Haven't had any good venison since we left home!"
"Patience, Watanuki-san. You shouldn't rush the meat, or else it'll be more chewy than tender."
(Kudos to Arzur for making the pic! ;D )
