Name: Shugi Ketatamashii [Craft Piercing]

Description: This is the pride and glory of the Sanada Clan. It is a common trait passed down to nearly all full-blooded members of the clan, and passed down to half-blooded members, although they typically find it more difficult to perform. By focusing chakra into their eyes, their eye will change in appearance and capacity, signifying this technique's activation. Their pupil will fade away, leaving only the bright iris, now a solid circle of color, which shines and reflects like a mirror. Their iris will be enlarged, until nearly all of their visible eye is consumed with the colored reflective iris. This jutsu conveys three levels of power, each progressively more difficult than the last. The third level, Memorization, is often too difficult for Genin to master easily. It is often the equivalent of a B-rank technique to them (depriving them of their remaining chakra) or unattainable until they reach a higher rank. Some full-blooded Sanada are able to use all three power levels at the Genin rank, however.
The first level of power is Observation. In this stage, any item which the user focuses his attention on will suddenly be revealed to him in its entirety. Its component parts will separate in his vision, allowing him to see the inner workings and mechanisms of the device. This level allows the user to see any physical or chemical process that the material in question was subjected to, thus giving him a better idea of its origin or abilities. This capacity also extends to seals and fuuinjutsu, allowing the user to instantly compare the visible markings to their own knowledge of seals to get a general idea of the seal's purpose and performance.
The second level of power is Scrutiny. In this stage, any item subjected to Observation is now analyzed for faults or imperfections. The object is viewed in grayscale, and any portions or parts which are significantly weaker than the rest seem to stand out, as if glowing red. This level allows the user to perform two equally potent skills regarding the Scrutinized object. The first skill is disabling the targeted device. If the device has a moving part, or a joint, or anything that should perform a certain way but is physically capable of not doing so, the user gets a specific idea of how to affect the item to cause the weak part to cease performance. An example might be jamming a puppets joint to restrict movement. The second skill gained through Scrutiny is perfection. Once the user knows what part of an item is defective, even in the slightest bit, they can then re-tool or re-design it to work better, more efficiently, and with zero chance of failure. This skill basically guarantees that any weapon or armor crafted by a Sanada with this level of power is practically impossible to incapacitate with low-level weapons or tricks. Only high-level techniques and powerful attacks can render such items useless.
The third and most complex level of power is Memorization. At this level, the user's eyes connect directly to the portion of his mind where memories are kept, and any item affected by Shugi Ketatamashii is instantly memorized and added to the user's list of schematics. Every detail of the item's creation, performance, faults, and weaknesses is kept recorded with it, and when the user gets around to re-creating such an item, the copy will almost always be superior to the original in every way. The only aspect of an item which cannot be copied and memorized this way is affects caused by chakra or demons or other forms of high-level spiritual power. While the seal and techniques used on a the material might be copied, the source and style of power is unattainable by the user, so their item will vary from the original in this regard.


Name: Kigan no Meishou [Craftsman's Prayer]

Clan: Sanada signature technique, can be taught to anyone
Description: This technique allows the user to quickly modify an item, either to enhance it or to debilitate it. They will perform a string of handsigns, and a small fuuinjutsu will appear in their palm. They can then touch the object which they wishe to modify with their palm, and six bands of fuuinjutsu will stream out from the point of contact, wrapping around the item. Once the item has been wrapped, the user can take it apart as if they were pulling a branch from a tree, or they can graft the parts together by holding together the broken pieces in the proper arrangement. This jutsu works wonderfully on simple items like swords or armor, but on anything complex like a puppet or an explosive they must first analyze it with Shugi Ketatamashii. Also, this jutsu cannot repair or break an item which is enhanced with chakra at the time of use, although the fuuinjutsu will remain for a short time, in case the item becomes no longer chakra enhanced. An item whose durability is enhanced to a point of near-invulnerability cannot be targeted for either purpose, unless its invulnerability derives from its owner and the owner condones the use and is currently in contact with the item. Repairing an item takes a considerable amount of time, about twenty minutes, more so than can be afforded in the midst of combat.

Name: Hamidasu Kai and Hamidasu Fuusa [Forced Release and Forced Blockade]

Description: After viewing a low-level seal with Shugi Ketatamashii, such as a bomb tag or weapon scroll, the user is able to interpret it and release a small pulse of chakra to make it inert. The pulse only extends outward through the user's hand, affecting only one seal at a time, and that seal must be touched directly for the effect to work. No one to date has yet figured out how to make the disablement permanent, and any seal that they block can be used again after a short time. The user also learns to release bomb-tag seals early, when the opponent isn't expecting it, blowing them up with their own weapon. The only problem is that the technique cannot be used on the first seal they see, because it takes a short time to interpret it and figure out the counter-chakra wave.

Name: Hyaku Buki Kagai [Hundred Weapon Assault]

Description: This is not a specific jutsu, as it is a common theme throughout the Sanada Clan's fighters. Given their skill with weapons and lack of ninjutsu or genjutsu training, members of the Sanada Clan often master a champloo (mixed) fighting style which incorporates their weapons with their physical skill and strategic techniques. Although each clan member creates their own version of this fighting style, most styles focus on wide-area range attacks augmented with ninjutsu and often used in preparation for a powerful melee strike. As a ninja's skill grows, their ability will also expand, allowing them to incorporate more ninjutsu, more tools, and a wider variety of weapons into their preferred method of combat. Each user perfects their own unique style, so that one might use puppetry and another use wire, or one uses a sword while another uses a halberd.
C Rank ~ Beginner Level: Users with this level of expertise, usually genin or teenagers, generally focus on either melee or ranged combat, and use the other primarily for backup. Ranged specialty is usually either the use of dozens of small weapons guided intricately with string, wire, or puppetry ninjutsu, or a single larger weapon loaded with traps and surprises. This stage is awkward, and the user spends a lot of time in preparation or in changing styles.
B Rank ~ Advanced Level: Users who have reached this tier have broadened their skill to incorporate ranged and melee weapons with equal effectiveness, and are often capable of using either weapon type for either of the two purposes. A Sanada using a sword could easily throw it, making him a deceptive fighter, and this tactic is great for surprising opponents. At this level, the user often guides or affects multiple items with his various tools and ninjutsu, allowing him to coordinate multiple weapons together or use one weapon to keep himself protected while attacking with the other. The user has no difficulty changing between close range and long range combat, and often uses great bursts of speed to flank opponents distracted by their ranged attacks.
A Rank ~ Master Level: At this point, the user becomes the consummate weapons expert. Anything which was designed for combat can now be used in practically any capacity and is easily subject to the entire range of the user's augmentations. Puppeteers at this level often perfect jutsu which allow them to hijack opponents' puppets, and ranged fighters can catch and return nearly anything thrown at them. The melee fighter of this level is a fearsome opponent, capable of using weapons in nearly unimaginable combinations, such as holding kunai with his teeth or gripping swords with his elbows and knees. Surprises and pain await those who dare challenge a master of this art.

Description: After studying a material's composition, component elements, and properties, Kaosu is able to create a fluctuating pulse of chakra in his hand that resonates with the latent energy in that material. This allows him to liquify it as long as his hand is against it. He most often uses this jutsu for crafting, since it takes so long to perform. When the liquified forms of two different materials combine, they create a small bond with properties and strengths from its components. Used for wielding and making weapons, puppets, or things for puppets.

Description: This is an improved version of the Hands of Welding technique that Kaosu developed. He concentrates his chakra into his hand prior to performance, and releases it in a focused arc. The higher chakra pressure allows him to cut through a material effortlessly, although it can only cut through one material at a time. Try as he might, he is unable to cut flesh with this technique, as it contains too many chemicals, bacteria, and organisms to resonate with a single chakra pulse. He is also unable to cut through reinforced or chakra imbued items, limiting this technique's usefulness. Used for cutting and making weapons, puppets, or things for puppets.

Description: Another adaptation to the Hands of Welding technique, the user is able to melt and compress the material in question, which increases its density once it re-solidifies. This requires intense concentration, and a good bit of time, but can repair broken items and make them stronger. Used for wielding and making weapons, puppets, or things for puppets.

Description: After receiving proper training, a ninja is able to use a senbon (or sometimes kunai) to accurately strike a small target. There are many variants and levels, each with their own difficulty, but these are the ones that Kaosu knows:
Tracking - Can accurately strike a 3cm moving target. Cannot use if the target is faster than the user can see.
Hobble - Can accurately strike a tendon in the knee that paralyzes the leg. The effect expires almost immediately after the weapon is removed.
Disable - Can accurately strike a tendon in the elbow that paralyzes the hand. The effect expires almost immediately after the weapon is removed.
Shock - Can accurately strike a point on the spine that causes an immediate paralysis throughout most of the body's muscles. The effect expires almost immediately, even if the weapon is not removed.
Bleeding - Can accurately strike a blood vein in the abdomen that causes an intense amount of bloodloss. The wound is small, and will clot quickly once the weapon is removed.

Description:
The Puppetry Technique Ninjutsu technique that allows a ninja to use a puppet to attack from afar. Using their body's chakra, the ninja emits strings of chakra that run from their fingers to the puppet. The puppet itself can be loaded with many weapons and tools, allowing the puppet master to remain hidden while the puppet moves and attacks the target.

Description:
This allows the puppeteer to call forth their puppets from the scroll they are sealed within. Once the scroll is open the puppeteer attaches a chakra string or two to the puppet they wish to call out. Thus pulling the puppet from the scroll. To place to puppet back into the scroll they reverse is and push the puppet in using chakra strings.

Description:
Forming a simple hand seal while using Puppetry Technique on a puppet. The Puppeteer then can change place with any chosen puppet right at that moment in time. This helps the Puppeteer slip out of a harmful situation and place a puppet in close range of his opponent. This can end up being very destructive for the opponent if they are not quick.

Description: This technique allows the user to hover multiple small objects, usually kunai, in the air while they prepare an attack. Once set, the user will unleash these kunai all at once, allowing for a torrent of kunai to be launched at once, much faster then if each blade had been thrown individually. This technique is usually done with the user of chakra strings being drawn between the user and the weapons in use, though channeling chakra into a regular string that then has kunai threaded onto it can also allow the user to perform this technique. At Genin level this technique can be used on 10 objects at once. At Chuunin this increases to 20, and at Jounin this technique can be used on 50 objects concurrently.
