Goddess of the Hunt | [ Ryuuchi ]

Outside the walls of the major cities, the Snow Empire boasts a variety of climates and landscapes. From the frozen glacial desert of the north, to the deciduous rain forest in the south, the four provinces are fun to discover for those who can keep their wits about them. Wild beasts of primitive and dangerous proportions loom in the corners of even its most barren wastelands, and the criminal elements are almost free to roam anyplace that is secluded from civilization.

As Muryuu spoke, Ninoya briefly looked back to where the dragon was. There were gaping holes in its body, and the smell of burned flesh was beginning to fill the immediate area. The smell didn't seem to bother either of the hunters. It was empowering, to see such a mighty creature defeated... knowing that you yourself had been responsible.

Arms folded across her chest, she listened as the man bore his soul. Well, as much as she had ever heard him before. She had the respect to let him speak his mind. Ninoya may have been temperamental, rash, and overall a brat, but she was kind. Ultimately, she was kind.

"You won't turn into a monster." She shook her head, green eyes looking at her friend in disbelief. Like he was telling her a flat out lie. "You're stronger than to let some stupid beast take you over. Just like any other dragon out there, I'm going to kill that thing inside of you." Her face was dead serious. "Because I'm not going to let it win you over. At the end of the day, you will win out over that beast. I will make sure of it."

A calm settled between them before the half dragon, half human made a good point. Plus, they weren't exactly as maximum capacity after their tussle.

Walking over to the beast, Ninoya grunted as she pulled a loosely hanging bone from the beast. Slightly charred, and slightly red, Ninoya put it on the ground in front of a scroll she had unfurled. A black circular seal began to glow as the archer performed hand signs. "I'd like proof that we took this thing down." We. "Like hell someone else is taking credit for this."

A glowing blue light and a puff of smoke signified the bone's sealing away into the parchment. Sticking it into a waist holster, Ninoya nodded her head toward away from the beast. "Lead the way. Let's hurry."

Her words, felt good...they just felt freaking good to hear. Nobody that had ever found out about his real self had professed such kind words to him, words that supported him and from Ninoya of all things, a woman that months before tried to put an arrow through his eye. Muryuu never really understood the concept of a friend as he never really had one, but for a moment he wondered while walking away from the battleground if the good feeling he had was part of something of the sorts.

"Well wasn't that a heartwarming scene? Bravo! Bravo! Great show!"

The voice behind them made Muryuu instantly stop in his tracks, the words did not register in his mind but that voice was unmistakeable to him and he felt and immediate chill run down his spine even though his back had been severely burnt not too long before. The white haired half-dragon turned his head so his eyes could confirm what he already knew and then he saw him. The man was tall and well built, clad in completely black clothing, shoulder length unkempt red hair swaying in the wind, eyes that were exactly the same as Muryuu's and a wide grin showing every fang in his mouth. She spoke of the 'thing' that had killed those dragons and not long after it stood before them with a smile on its face.

A sudden wave of fear hit him, it was one much more powerful than what he had ever felt before, forcing his body to take a step back while covering himself in black scales as if activating a defense mechanism. Normally he would have started running away right then and there, if what Raika had said was true then the man before him was no longer his father but a monster with no ties or attachment...however when he looked back at Ninoya he realized something, his father was much faster than any of them, running away would only make the hunt more thrilling and if he ran at full speed then Ninoya could very well be the first one to be caught and killed. But if he could buy her some time, then maybe...

Muryuu's body began to shift, the black scales going wild all over his body as he revealed a form that was was more demonic than draconic. His muscles increased in size, his hands turned into claws, small and wide spikes appeared all over his body and especially along the spine and shoulders, his ears grew slightly in length, two horns grew from his temples and a third right from the middle of his forehead, a tail emerged from his lower back and grew spikes along its length, ending in a spiked club like tip and finally his larger hand gripped the hilt of the large sword on his back and drew it from its sheathe for the first time in front of Ninoya, revealing the sharp black edge, a tone darker than Muryuu's own scales. He was forced to use two things he hated others witnessing, the Kirinketsu's most dangerous and powerful combat form, a perfect combination of dragon power and human ability, and the black sword made and given to him by the very same man he was preparing to attack and the only blade capable of cutting through the monster's scales.

"Run away as fast as you can, I'll try to buy you some time! Go!!!"

The moment his command left his lips, Muryuu charged at Ryuuchi with tremendous speed and power. He had suffered some damage while fighting the dragon and even more when the beast exploded but there was no time to worry or even think about that as he was facing a monster several times out of his league.
Muryuu was upon Ryuuchi in an instant but right as he was a foot away from the man, his black body seemed to vanish and instantly reappear behind Ryuuchi with the sword already swinging down and a growl leaving his throat. Ever so casually, as if he had found a coin on the floor, Ryuuchi bent forward completely avoiding the blade, the ground in the direction of the sword swing was rid of dirt due to the blasting wind pressure and Ryuuchi simply stepped forward and turned around to face Muryuu. However, as Ryuuchi turned around Muryuu had already vanished and similarly to before reappeared behind Ryuuchi who turned his head to grin at the boy...but Muryuu was no longer there as when Ryuuchi's head turned he vanished a second time and reappeared where he had been before, swinging the large blade that seemed to weigh the same as a wooden sword at the man's face. Ryuuchi took a step back as his grin widened and but the very tip of the blade still managed to make a light cut on his cheek and the pressure blew his hair back.

"Interesting..."

The words slipped through the smile as his right fist turned black and the next moment his fist was crushing down on Muryuu's head, pinning it between the black scaled fist and the floor and completely destroying the ground around it. Muryuu's body was completely unmoving as Ryuuchi lifted his fist from the boy's head and took a step back, for a moment he thought it was over and that the boy was out but right as he thought that Muryuu's sword shot right at him as the bloodied young man rose up with a roar.

"Don't push it..."

The grin vanished, the blade missed and Muryuu's body was lifted up by a black hand around his neck while the other held the sword arm in place. Chakra visibly started to leave Muryuu's body and flowing into Ryuuchi's hands and arms, frankly the whole process looked painful for Muryuu and after only two seconds the black demonic body he had turned into changed back to that of a normal human.

Pausing, Ninoya turned with confusion to the voice that just spoke to them. Though, she did not move with as much trepidation as Muryuu did. To Ninoya, this man was just another fool looking to get smacked down by the duo.

Eyes shifting to her dragon-esque companion, her eyebrows furrowed as he watched him step back. He was afraid. Then he began transforming, black scales completely covering his body. It was mere moments before he looked like the very thing they just hunted together. In fact, he looked a little more dangerous. He wasn't a beast though, he was very much in control. But as Ninoya looked again the man before her, she knew that Muryuu had relations to this man. And she only knew of one thing that Muryuu would be afraid of. She had to believe that they were looking at his father.

"What? Bull s--!" She barely had time to respond as he darted toward the taller man. Whatever happened next, she wasn't about to flee.

What happened next was all very quick. Ninoya had a hard time keeping up with who was where, and when. The archer had developed techniques to make herself faster through use of raiton chakra. But even with that addition to her body, she could tell that she wouldn't be able to keep up. Especially with red haired man. She would need to work on that if they were to survive this. It was evident that if Muryuu was going to live a happy, anxiety-free life, this man needed to die.

Hand signs flying as Ryuuchi began to pull the chakra straight from Muryuu's person, Ninoya had another Dragonslayer's Spear ready before the monster could throw another stupid grin on his face. It sparked, more so than before, mostly because Ninoya was running low on chakra. And focusing was a bit hard, given the situation.

"Put him down!" She screamed. Ryuuchi seemed to have forgotten that she was there. Or he simply didn't care. Either way, the mass amount of powerful chakra was more likely to garner his attention than the screaming. "I killed a dragon with this weapon in my hand." Right arm raised, her grip was tight around the concentrated spear of electrical energy. "You can bet it'll kill you too." In the form he was in, it would definitely pierce his flesh. But if he were to put those black scales over his body... well that was a mystery. The spear worked on young dragons, and young black dragons in the case of Muryuu, but the same couldn't be said for the older ones. Especially one of Ryuuchi's caliber.

"If it's a fight you're looking for, I can put up a better one than he ever could." A distraction to get Ryuuchi to let the man go. Ninoya could see herself dying here, but she owed her companion much for their tussle with the dragon. Maybe her life. "Come on!!" She might have just thrown the spear at him, but a couple things were stopping her. One, it would likely miss given his speed. Two, he might just use Muryuu as a meat shield.

He couldn't breathe and he couldn't move, it was like all his power was being taken away from his body at an alarming rate and after only a couple of seconds of being restrained by Ryuuchi he felt as if he had spent hours running at full speed the whole time. Muryuu's body had become so heavy that lifting his arms or moving his legs had become an impossible task, Ryuuchi didn't even have to keep holding on to his sword arm as his fingers no longer had the strength to keep holding onto the hilt of the already extremely heavy black sword and let it fall to the ground.
His mind was starting to go in and out of conscious by the time he heard Ninoya scream at Ryuuchi and he cursed the fact that she had been to stubborn to stay instead of running. He could hear her voice but making out the words required brainpower he no longer had at his disposal but then suddenly...Ryuuchi released him, letting his heavy body drop to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

"You killed a dragon?"

Ryuuchi turned to face the girl that was openly challenging him with her lightning weapon in hand and a pair of brass balls on her that many wish they had, she piqued his interest right then and there which brought back the wide grin.

"Honey...you killed a child."

And the next moment he was standing in front of her, using speeds far superior to what he and Muryuu had used before to close that short gap between them. His still black hand shot toward Ninoya's dragonslayer spear and grabbed a hold of it as tightly as her one hand and suddenly his hand released it and he dropped to one knee, screaming while clutching the same hand that had grabbed a hold of the spear.

"Aaaarrgghhh! What is this!? It...it..."

But then he looked up with a joyous smile and lifted the same hand as before, it completely uninjured, not a single scratch on it despite having grabbed an elemental spear with such cutting power that in his opinion could probably pierce a weaker adult dragon's scales. His black hand wrapped around the spear and the next moment it vanished, the lightning weapon didn't break, explode or disperse...it simply vanished as it turned into chakra was was instantly drained by Ryuuchi.

"It was delicious! You are delicious!"

He truly liked her chakra, to Ryuuchi chakra always had what he called a flavor and it varied not just from individual to individual but the flavors between species was immensely different and his favorite flavor was always that of dragons because no matter how old or young, weak or strong, they all tasted exceptional. Humans on the other hand were all about luck, some tasted better than any dragons and others tasted like a mouthful of rotten eggs, but to him humans whose chakra was of a high quality...were extremely valuable.
His other hand shot up to her neck, he would feast on her chakra, suck her dry like he had done the other...but keep her alive, it was a flavor he didn't want to fade away so soon.

"Ack!" She had nothing to say to Ryuuchi as he spoke to her. What would have there been to say to a deranged man? Curse at him? Ninoya did that enough with sane people. He played her like a fool, pretending to be hurt as he grabbed her strongest creation and just absorbed it. To be able to just take in others' chakra... that was a dangerous ability. One that the archer had no hope to counter.

Well... almost no hope.

Held in the air by Muryuu's father, Ninoya put together a couple hand signs as she choked. Whatever lightning ninjutsu she would put out would just be absorbed the man, so she couldn't see him being worried. This was her last hope.

She bore teeth, more intensely than before. At that moment, a large black arrowhead emerged from underneath Ninoya's green vest. It was a tattoo, and it stopped moving just below her chin. At this point, Ryuuchi would be able to feel it. Taste it. Ninoya's chakra was become muddled with ink. Dark, disgusting, viscous ink. It was her tattoo at work, and it was poisoning Ninoya with its ink nature.

Sounds of ripping cloth came from Ninoya as several dozen black vector arrows shot out from her back, a glowing blue seal on the tip of every arrow. Like angel wings, they spread. Coming out in an arc, they quickly circled around to Ryuuchi's backside and sped toward him. Upon impact, due to the explosion seal Ninoya had put on them thanks to her quick fuuinjutsu technique, they would explode. All roughly 30 of them. It was a desperate attempt of a dying woman. At the very least, it would put a disgusting taste in the insane man. Served him right for calling Ninoya 'delicious'.

Spoiler:
Name of Seal: Inkling
Seal Type: Tattoo
Seal Rank: A
Sealing Method
Sealing: Nearly a day's worth of work and preparation was required before the Inkling tattoo was complete on the young Archer's back. The main components of this seal are chakra and ink, lots and lots of ink.
Unsealing: Not to be unsealed on its own, Ninoya will combine her Inkling seal with fuuinjutsu techniques. After forming the required hand seals, the Inkling tattoo will give away some of the ink stored within it. After several uses, the Inkling tattoo will begin to stretch like a snake along Ninoya's back and up to her face. Heavy use of the Inkling tattoo will result in a hefty amount of the unique ink in the archer's body. Acting like a toxin, it will slow her down, induce nausea, and other bodily issues.
Seal Appearance: A simple black vector arrow that slightly curves along Ninoya's back. Every activation of the seal causes to increase in length a little more, causing it to expand up her back. Though invisible to the average eye, only when she activates the seal does it become visible, there is additional writing that encloses the vector arrow.

Seal Use: On its own, the Inkling seal provides no purpose. Ninoya must use it in unison with a technique. Upon performing hand seals, Ninoya can use a portion of the sealed ink within the tattoo to release a single black arrow, looking nearly identical to the Inkling tattoo. This arrow will make a mad dash for whatever Ninoya's target is. It's ability to maneuver and circle is very limited, so if it misses its initial target it will merely turn back into ink, releasing whatever else Ninoya has imbued it with. The little inklings that can made from the tattoo are like a blank slate, Ninoya can imbue with abilities based off of fuuinjutsu techniques she performs. On their own, they won't do much more than leave a bruise and an ink stain on whatever they hit. She can fuse them with lightning, sharpen them with chakra, combine them with her physical arrows, or use them as a medium to put seals on physical objects upon hitting them.

The taste of her chakra as it passed through his fingers, his hand, his arm and into his abdomen where molded with the rest of his own chakra was exquisite, it was so delicious that he suddenly found it hard to pace himself and be careful to stop before she ran completely dry of energy and inadvertently lost her life. But she was a feisty one that didn't give as quickly as he expected, normally someone with her levels of chakra would have so much of their chakra absorbed that they would be unconscious within a few seconds and dead in around a minute or so but she was fully capable of not only staying awake but also tried to not go down without a fight.

His eyes followed the path of the black ink wings as they sprouted out of her back and looped over them to his back. By the time he noticed the black arrows heading for him they were already too close for him to do anything very complicated...so he didn't and instead simply inhaled deeply, sucking in the air in front of him along with the chakra. It was wonderful, the flavor he got from chakra was something he felt all over his body as the chakra ran through his system and melded with his own, tasting good or bad simply came from how compatible his chakra was with someone but for some reason absorbing chakra using his mouth always made it much tastier, he never knew if it was some subconsciously related or if was because the chakra had a most direct path to the core. Either way the chakra that guided the arrows was a great desert.

As the ink dropped to the ground as it no longer held any chakra to control and keep it together Ryuuchi noticed something in her system, a foul taste. His eyes closed and his vision changed, seeing her already depleted chakra levels along with something black that almost seemed like it was infecting her own system. This obviously spelled bad news for him, he didn't know what it was and what effects it could have on her, for all he knew she was some fool that attempted to kill herself before he could thoroughly enjoy a couple more meals...it was downright criminal! He couldn't let her do something so atrocious.

Ryuuchi pulled her face closer to his and the next moment their lips connected, he wasted no time enjoying the kiss he was suddenly sharing with the young girl as he was too busy sending his blood red chakra through their mouths and into her system. Normally when his red chakra came into contact with a foreign chakra it would become highly aggressive and infect that other chakra, converting it into its own but through his command it did not do such a thing while inside her as her chakra levels were so low it would be too much of a risk. Instead the chakra flowed through her body, flushing out her system as it caught and brought out the black ink that she seemed to have willing injected into herself. The moment their lips came apart, the red chakra rushed out of her mouth carrying with it the nasty black ink and dropping it onto the ground before reentering his own body. After a few seconds, she was clean of all impurities.

"Well then...that's that, shall we head home?"

His tone seemed quite jolly as he flung Ninoya's body over one shoulder and Muryuu's over the other, before taking out his huge black wings and flying off with his new playthings.
