Lights Out [Love]

The many towns and cities tucked in the crevices of the world, uncontrolled by any formal power. Some are friendly. Others, not so much.

The small note slipped into her fingers and with one hand she folded it without so much as a glance before stuffing it into her low-cut shirt. It was worth having a backup plan, but best she didn't know the details of it upfront so as not to draw attention to the location when things get dicy, which they surely will.

After Keiichi, the real Keiichi, escaped out the window she didn't hesitate further before kicking this off. For her, it was somewhat a game. The whole thing wasn't necessary, though since she had gotten the scaly bastard to go along with the scheme it also made this into something of a mission, and it was a point of professionalism not to fail at those.

Lightning exploded as the door to the room collapsed out into the hall, her speed amplified with Raiton: Oonami no Jutsu [Lightning Release: Surge Technique]. The two thugs Shou had posted outside were the first to be dispatched. As splinters and sparks filled the air, the nimble woman swept low to take the first off his feet. As the brute toppled backwards, Asuka shot herself up from her crouch and focused on Usagi. Settling a bit of a personal score, she wasn't so concerned with keep him conscious. As her hand gripped hold his weapon, her shins coiled round his neck to carry him with the momentum of her spinning leap. Seamlessly she parted from him, landed as she had been as his body was thrown into the wall opposite the gaping doorway. He his with so much force that his large head broke right through the wallboard, leaving his limp body stuck. As for the other, she took Usagi's weapon and smacked him clear across the face with the blunt end of the tool. Though it didn't knock him out, it left a mark there to show that it was not for lack of trying. Not wasting further time, she took off down the corridor leaving the guard behind her. After all, he had an alarm to trigger.

Her aim was, of coarse, the basement, but she didn't have much time to make it there and keep on her time table. While the zoo was large, it wasn't so much so that word of something so important would blaze across it. Ergo, she didn't waste time on the stairs, even as she traveled down her stairwell. Sliding down the banister, she barreled into the group of three men on patrol, leaping off the beam into a spinning kick that struck each in the head. While two of them dropped where they stood, the other was forced up against the wall of the small turnaround landing space. Hitting the floor standing up, she didn't so much as turn towards the lackey before elbowing the still conscious man in the stomach and bringing the same arm up to a backhand. As she started walking, her hand flipped down and with it the fellow she had just struck, flipping him all the way around to land him square on his back. She stepped over his unconscious body as she entered back into a run down the rest of the stairs.

The next story down she charged into lone footman, sliding into a palm strike to his stomach as he feel glided across the floor with little resistance due to the sparks of blue lightning flying off them. The kidney shot dropped the man at the intersection of a "T" shaped corridor crossing, and before his two partners could react down the perpendicular path further down, Asuka had already loosed two kunai at them. They must have thought themselves lucky that she missed, though any such thoughts would soon be outlived as the paper tags attached to the daggers embedded into the wall behind the two guards erupted.

If the screams of murder didn't draw her any attention, the loud boom would. So far she hadn't killed any of the guards. The aim wasn't to debilitate the gang, only to test out the loyalties of key players. As it continued, she might not be able to show so much constraints, but on these higher floors she wanted to leave a trail of dispatched bodies to show the direction downwards they were headed.

They were all the resistance she had before making it to the vaulted room that stored in it riches. If the foreplay up top with Keiichi didn't get her going, the storeroom of wealth served as a great aphrodisiac for the woman. She didn't have time to pick out specifics. Gold, jewels, cash, it was all neatly stacked, yet it wouldn't be much longer till the firsts of Keiichi's would be avengers, or traitors, came upon her. For weight alone, she settled on cash, throwing down a messenger duffle and filling it to the brim with the largest denominations of the bills. If she was going to due this, she wanted it to be believable, and that it meant her haul had to be worth the while.

"People are blowing things out of proportion. Queen has always been a b.itch and my boys have always been rowdy...I don't know about Saint but I wouldn't worry about her stabbing Kei in the back."

Shou spoke with an incredible calmness and ease in his voice, speaking his words as if stating facts that should be well known public knowledge by now and to him it should be. In his mind the chances of an actual "mutiny" within the crew were slim, most of the higher ranked members either feared or respected Keiichi in one way or another and those that didn't, either could care less for being in charge or knew that it wasn't as grand as it sounded.

"What about you Shou-chan? No rand aspirations to reach to top, maybe a little early? You seem to be doing a great job already."

Seiteki spoke jokingly but her words still made Shou frown, though his words remained as calm and aloft as always.

"Don't even joke, I don't even like doing this shit so I can't even imagine it being permanent. But this will all be fixed and done with once Kei wakes u..."

The fire-alarm rang throughout the whole zoo, though it no longer warned people of fires, it did still have an important function of telling people that something was wrong. Shou and Seiteki glanced at each other before rushing out of the room and heading in the same direction, the room where Keiichi had been left sleeping.
Upon arrival, mere seconds after the alarm rang, they saw what Asuka had left in her path to the treasure. Leaning against a wall right next to the alarm was one of the guards Shou had stationed there who immediately began reporting what had happened, how Asuka suddenly rushed out of the room and started taking people down without hesitation. After quickly ordering the guard to spread the word to everyone else, Shou rushed into Keiichi's room to see if everything was fine...he saw Seiteki just standing there frozen in place.

Shou's eyes shifted from Seiteki to Keiichi, laying on the bed and quite visibly dead. Shou's face showed how shocked he was at the sight of Keiichi's dead body, he took a few steps forward and placed two fingers on Keiichi's neck, only to confirm exactly what his eyes told him. He then looked back at Seiteki and saw an expression he had never seen on her, completely and utter shock as it was clear her brain was not capable of registering what was happening before her. But he had no time to waste.

"She's dead..."

He mumbled to Seiteki. Shou's arms hung down as he hunched his body forward and bent his legs, the next moment he rushed out of the room like a bullet, kicking off the wall in front of the door and running like an animal on a hunt after the woman that killed his leader, following the scent of the assassin that murdered his friend.
Seiteki watched Shou leave and as if nothing had happened, the expression of shock left her place, replacing it with a smile. The green haired woman turned to the fake body of her brother and closed one eye.

"What are you up to, my dear brother?"

Meanwhile, the alarm was more than enough to warn everyone that mattered almost immediately.
Upon hearing the loud noise, Saint jumped out of the bed with her sword already in hand, it didn't matter that she was wearing nothing but blue shorts and a white T-shirt as long as she had her sword at hand. Not knowing what was going on she warned Miki to stay in the room while she would check things out and then proceeded to leave the room.

Elsewhere, Queen opened her eyes when the alarm rang but instead of reacting to it like her fellow Platinum, she simple used her pillows to cover her ears, shouted for someone to turn the noise down and to see what the hell was disturbing her precious sleep.

Taka did not react in the slightest, instead opting to keep observing the prisoner.

Finally Ashura snapped out of his trance when the alarm sounded and it was just in time to see a shadow moving in the distance.

"You're way out of wack tonight" The concerned brunette said again to a distracted, petite blonde. "You barely have one shot and you d@mn near pass out, then all you do is sit there like a wall flower and stare out the window. What's up with you, seriously?" The stressing wasn't enough. By the end of it, the brunette was shaking the punkish girl by the shoulder.

Slapping the hand away, she again just shrugged it off. "Quit it, will ya?" Oddly enough, she kept her right eye closed the entire time she was talking. "It's just, I think we should head back, kay?"

"You serious? The night just started, and we're going to go al---."

With a loud bang the door to the bar swung open, knocking aside the people that had been standing right beside it to make room for a large, bulky bandit looking fellow that was distressed both in manner and in volume. "THE BOSS IS DEAD!!"

The rowdy bar across from the zoo fell violent as curious glanced carried there way over to the interrupter. However, whatever doubt anyone had quickly vanished, as the dead silence and the view made it clear that an alarm was flashing out across the way, promptly leading to a mad dash for the door. Left behind was only a very disappointed bartender that missed out on a whole night's worth of tabs, as an army of drunken thugs was rushing back to the barred off zoo.

"Well, Rin, guess you get your wish…Ah, Rin?" The brunette's hair swayed back and forth looking for the woman she had lost in the crowd. While the rest of them would be met with the lockdown, one of them wasn't going to waste time with the doors.

The zip of the duffle was quickly replaced by the resounding alarm sounding out from above her. "Pfft." Was her only response. She honestly thought she had more time. Picking up the back, a small twitch to her ear sent her spinning around and withdrawing a blade towards the door, freezing only just before slashing a throat.

Her alarm was unfitting once she was met with a face of someone dressed in white she didn't recognize. It was clear from the attire that the man, who sported a weaselly mustache that spoke more of desperation then distinction, was a Paper member of the gang.

Hands drawn up in surrender, he pleaded. "Woah, woh. I'm here for the same reasons as you." He said etching his way over to one of the piles of cash even while Asuka's blade was at his throat. He hadn't expected anyone to be here, but it was clear that he was taking the chaos as an opportunity to cash out on a gang he stood little chance of climbing the ranks in, especially now since it was leaderless. Asuka dropped her blade, but after the sheathing sound ended her hand dropped down to her kunai holster.

It wouldn't take the outraged Shou long to reach the stockpile of credit in the basement. However, mixed in with the piles of gold and jewels was a lifeless body of the weaselly man bleeding on the floor with a kunai plunged in his throat. Asuka, on the other hand, was already out the door and running down the hall. The coffer being in the basement kind of limited her escape route, not being able to go back the way she came. Unfortunately, this mean Shou would catch her tail end as she made a break for the cellar window at the end of the hall.

"Our security sucks when Taka's not around..."

Keiichi landed on top of a lamppost right outside the perimeter of the zoo, the black clad figure crouched down as he heard the sound of the alarm behind him and the people rushing around both inside and outside the gang's base. He figured that even with his fairly average stealth skills that he'd be able to leave the base without being spotted, however he didn't expect to find no obstacles whatsoever. No well placed guards, no really effective patrols, no Platinums standing watch and not even a random paper running around. It seemed like in his rush to keep the main buildings under watch, Shou had failed to give any focus to anywhere else within the zoo, which in turn wasn't a horrible idea though someone with good enough stealth skills and knowledge of the layout should be able to walk around quite freely within the rest of the zoo and do as they wished.

Then it hit him...literally. The kick came out of nowhere, smashing against the top of his head and sending him through the lamppost underneath all the way to the ground where his body stopped but not without cracking the pavement. Though enough to rock him, the hit was luckily not enough to knock Keiichi out as he immediately jumped to his feet and stumbled back a few steps right into the middle of the street. His eyes were unfocused for a few moments and the only thing he saw was a humanoid form already rushing at him and slamming its shoulder into his chest, sending him trough the wall of a building on the other side of the street. A couple of moments after crashing into the building, Keiichi stumbled out of it, grabbing part of the broken wall to steady his step as his vision began to slowly clear but enough to see who his opponent was, Ashura.

"Aight! Iz be guessin yer the reason the alarm be soundin. Attackin us again huh? I'ma break yah, homeboy."

Undead man clenched his fists and hunched forward, chakra began pouring out of the stitches and cuts all over his body and gathering around his fists as he readied himself for another full power attack.

Shou was not playing around, his mind was fully focused on the hunt and anything in his path was to be eliminated. He rushed trough the halls at top speed, following not just Asuka's path of bodies but mostly her scent. He rushed through the halls at such speeds that going around corners would have been more complicated were it not for the unfortunate Bronze standing in the way who received a full power dropkick in the chest, Shou's way of slowing momentum in his dash.
Soon he reached the coffer, he should have known that a backstabber like her would be too greedy and proceed to get as much money out of it as possible. He looked down at the dead paper and then smelled around to for her scent, ignoring the dead man that had no business being in a place like that in the first place.

Upon locking on to her scent again, Shou decided to skip any further obstacles and head straight for the heart of the problem. His hands came together in a single handseal and then he immediately dropped to all fours. His body began to convulse, muscles enlarging slightly, nails turning into claws, fur appearing around his arms, legs, back and chest until even his beard had grown like that of a lumberjack. He jumped towards a wall and his body began to spin in mid air until looked like he was surrounded by a twister that crashed into the wall and easily tore it apart. The twister stopped and he once again landed on all fours, smelling the air for his target and after pinpointing it he resumed the attack, tearing through everything in his path until he finally reached her, the woman that killed his leader and friend.

"I'll tear you apart!!!"

The the twister of claw and fang continued in Asuka's direction, aiming to do to her what it had done to the walls just moments before.

"Black Widow killed the Boss!"

The news stunned Saint as she stopped a Silver running around and asked him about the reason for the alarm. She expected an attack of some sorts but she never would have guessed that it had been due to something of such a caliber, due to the betrayal and assassination of her boss...the same man she had pledged her sword too. She pushed the silver out of her way and stumbled forward a few steps, her eyes unfocused but her concentration at full blast as she activated her clan's energy sensing and could immediately feel every single energy within the zoo and surrounding areas. She could feel several people running around inside the zoo, several other energies rushing toward the zoo, Taka still unmoving down bellow with the prisoner, Seiteki alone in the room Keiichi had been sleeping in, Queen completely unmoving in her room, Ashura standing at the very edge of her sensing field making it hard to tell that it was even his energy, Shou close to a quite weak energy and then finally Asuka, alone in the basement.
Her eyes regained focus, Saint looked up and then around her. The Silver just stood there while Miki peeked out of her room to see if everything was alright, but Saint just stood there, thinking.

Queen didn't leave her bed, though sleeping was still not an option with all that noise.

Asuka stumbled, but not unintentionally. As the razor sharp twister came down on her, she both turned and fell. Raising up the bundle of cash as she spun to face Shou, the feral monstrosity first slash at the bag before impaling his target. Physically stronger and taller than her, Asuka's toting arm fell limp as her bloodied body was lifted into the air. Blood spat out her mouth and down her chin, though not without the accompaniment of a devilish smirk. "Your loyalty betrays you…" She said with another convulsion as her free hand shot up and gripped Shou tight at where his arm was penetrating her abdomen. "It's why I don't want to waste much time on you!"

A puff of white smoke revealed the deception of the transformation technique to reveal the weasel paper in Asuka's place. Shoved down the back of his pants was a kunai with a shred of Asuka's shirt tied to it, though this was not the only trick. In place of money falling out the torn bag was a bundle of paper tags, and no sooner had the ruse been broken then did the package of explosives erupt. It wasn't a lethal blow towards Shou, though the same couldn't be said for the hypnotized paper. Asuka's aptitude with the Shinranshin no Jutsu [Mind Derangement Technique] that she could easily convince the feeble minded into actions of self sacrifice, but with how the goon held the bag he'd end up with the brunt of the bang while Shou would take a mass of concussive force that burns.

Back down the hallway as the building shook and a loud boom sounded out through the zoo Asuka exited the vault, no longer playing possum. She smirked at the blaze of fire before taking off in the opposite direction, back the way she had originally came. On her way up the stairwell she leapt and round-housed the thug Shou hand drop-kicked on the way down, further proving that it was not the best day for the Bronze to be galavanting about.

Back on the ground floor Asuka turned to exiting the main doors, which were now guarded by a legion of three gang members. Throwing the bag of real cash diagonally around her shoulder, her free hand made several signs as she ran towards the defending men. Her fists lit up with lighting just before impact as Raiton: Raikyuutai no Jutsu [Lighting Release: Lightning Orb Technique]

The blast wave of electricity tore through the building, leaving a second explosion of debris filling the area immediately around her as Asuka exited through a cleared path. As she left behind the rising smoke, two fingers crossed overtop her covered eye as the Shingan [Mind's Eye] took effect. She looked for a moment down towards the gate where a rush of chakra signatures were coming form. It would be hectic that way, but she could easily escape to the point where it would be her path if it wasn't for the fact that she was playing at a larger game. Instead of taking off down that way, Asuka instead turned opposite to dash further into the zoo, and lead a new target down her next trap.

He never saw it coming, Shou did not expect Asuka's trick at all, partly thanks to her abilities still being an unknown to him and partly thanks to his blind rage. Had he been calmer, had he known a bit more about the woman he was hunting down then he would have probably realized something was off, but he wasn't ready or aware of the trick and that cost him the hunt. The explosion was well placed, not lethal but enough to knock him out and eliminate him as a problem for her plans. When the dust settled and the smoke cleared, Shou laid there under the rubble...as a shadow approached him.

Elsewhere, the battle between Ashura and Keiichi still raged on. Normally Keiichi's abilities were the worst possible match-up against Ashura, he was a near immortal being as long as he held chakra within his body and Keiichi would normally deal with it easily by infecting the chakra the undead needed to regenerate while in turn Ashura would not be able to absorb Keiichi's chakra without getting further infected. However, the use of his black chakra would give away his identity too quick and easily so Keiichi was forced to fight and zombie man with his own taijutsu and considering Ashura was one of the best hand-to-hand fighters in the gang, it made things very complicated.

Down in the very lower reaches of the zoo, the green haired Seiteki entered the dark room holding a single prisoner and the one watching over him, Taka. She walked over to the man with the blank stare and put her arms around him, pressing her lips against his temple and rubbing her cheek against his.

"Hey Taka-chan, have you been a good boy? Of course you have!"

She looked toward the prisoner for a moment and then down at Taka once again, placing her lips next to his ear and whispering the following in an extremely hushed tone.

"Kill Asuka."

One moment she was hugging him from behind and the next she was pushed back and the door was blown to bits, Taka was no longer in the room. Seiteki smiled as her gaze went from the door and then back at the prisoner.

It was good night for him and his queen, not only had Keiichi Sasaki been assassinated by the very woman he had brought into the gang and seemed to trust in so much, but as he made his way back to tell his queen the good news, he found the unconscious body of Shou Gaki...just laying in the middle of a destroyed hallway with not a single soul around. Oda Hibari, Queen's second in command and favorite toy, saw this as a sign from God! There was no other explanation to him as it was too much luck for one night, it was as if God was telling him that Queen was the only one worthy of being the leader because the former leader had been dispatched of and soon after, her biggest threat in reaching the head position she deserved was given to him as a present, as if God was giving him Shou as a sacrifice...and one he would not waste.

Hibari's hand made its way to one of the many knives on his belt and took it, the steel tip quickly pointed toward Shou's neck and without any hesitation it moved down, aiming to sink into his flesh and take his life away. But the blade was stopped when a hand grabbed Hibari's arm, when he looked toward the owner of the hand that stopped him from eliminating his queen's biggest nuisance, he saw two familiar faces...those of Yasu Hisakawa and Katsuro Kagome, two Golds belonging to the "Shou Faction" within the gang.

"Whatcha doin', Hibari?"

The voice came from behind him and once he turned his back to look he saw another Gold from the same group, Kyou Ito. The great night had quickly turned into a bad one.

Not far from the Golds' meeting, someone crashed through the walls of the zoo's building, showing no regard for any structure or person in his way as he made his way to the outside. Taka had been given a mission, Karasu no Ha's most dangerous weapon had its sights on a single woman and nothing would stand in his way. The moment Taka reached the outside he jumped high into the sky and the next moment landed right in front of Asuka, creating a crater underneath him from the impact. The man who always held lifeless eyes, stared straight into Asuka's with a clear focus in them and aimed a wild and extremely powerful haymaker at her face with the intent of popping it like a balloon.

Her premonition signaled just before impact, not that it gave her much time to react as only inches separated her face from the haymaker. Dropping her body limp, she fell backwards and bent completely at the knees with her lower legs out to her side as she landed flat on her back. The uncomfortable contortion couldn't be held long before Asuka had to quickly roll to the side to avoid the hammer fist being brought down in an attempt to split her in two. The strike left another small crater in the concrete below as Asuka flipped herself up and away, sliding to a stop mere meters from where she had been.

She was glad he hadn't decided on taking a different side. Her chakra perception had seen only a tease before when she had been in the body of Keiichi's would be assassin. In her state and with Keiichi's dead weight, Taka would have accomplished what he had just tried to do again back then had it not been for Shou intervening. That small teaser was enough to peak Asuka's interest, not that she thought this would be easy. Taka was still a mystery, and had been one since she first set foot in this zoo.

"'Bout time you showed up!" The one-eyed woman scoffed as the kunai she had drawn in her flip etched a small line at the end of her maneuver. She loosed that and another kunai as Taka charged for her, still hellbent in his purpose without so much as responding to her jeer. The blades were targeted for pressure points. Not actually out to kill anyone important to the clan, she couldn't target the arteries as she would normally. However, it didn't actually matter where she pinpointed since the bulking muscles of the brute seemed to be an armor in and of itself. The kunai barely pierced at all into the tank, leaving Asuka no option but to dodge again.

Leaping up, she had planned to clear overtop the charging bull, but was too late or too low. Taka gripped ahold of her ankle before she could get to high and whipped her straight down, slamming her first into the ground before throwing her like a rag doll . Asuka crashed into the caging of one of the exhibits and broke straight through it as she fell into the penitentiary. Landing on a grassy field with the twisted bars all around her, a spat of blood escaped her mouth as she picked herself back up. The last bit of electricity surrounding her died out as the fatigue of her ending technique set in adding one more complication to the mix.

As Taka leapt in to pursue his target unyieldingly Asuka drew on her second nature to counter, throwing together her hands and raising one up to her mouth to release the "Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu" [Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique]. Spitting out a large mass of flames straight at the hulking titan.

Dead on, a direct hit.

Asuka's giant ball of flames engulfed Taka as he rushed toward her, his arm stretched out toward the pretty flames just before they crashed into him with a fiery force that wrecked whatever it hit. For the first time in a long time Taka's voice was heard but no words were uttered, just screams of pain, bloodcurdling cries from a man surrounded in flames. Within the flames at a distance from Asuka a humanoid silhouette could be seen, kneeling on the ground with its hands clutching its head. The flames began to swirl around the figure and then suddenly blew away in all directions along with the smoke, leaving only him kneeling in the middle of the blackened floor. Taka's skin was black, burned to a crisp unnaturally fast, his eyes were closed and looking to the ground as if he was a sinner seeking forgiveness from the gods but was struck down instead.

But then his arms twitched, several cracks began to appear along his body as it began to slowly move. At first they were black but a red light began coming from the cracks and then suddenly flames came out of them, his eyes opened along with his mouth and fire came out from it as well. Taka was soon engulfed in flames yet again but this time from a fire coming from within.

This was Taka's ability, a mixture of bloodline limit and horrible human experiments, the final and sole surviving member of a five year long experiment that Ryuuchi ultimately deemed a failure, adaptation and evolution. Taka's ability was quite simple, his body adapted and evolved whenever exposed to a threat, evolved to not only protect itself from it but also to harness and copy the threat and make it his own. But the experiment was a failure, the pain from the changes to the body was immeasurable, Taka was already in constant pain as if his body was constantly burning and healing at the same time. The process granted him power, but broke him...thus the failure, since there was no point in adapting if the downsides were far worse than dieing to the threat in the first place.

His glowing red and orange eyes focused on Asuka, the mission he had been given was the only noise in his mind apart from the pain because that was how he was programmed to be since he was young and his mind was too far gone for anything else. His fists closed, the flames around his arms raged and intensified.
Taka charged, his attack patterns did change, he was still the same...only with the power of fire on his side with every attack.

"F^(k" Asuka cursed as she whipped a spat of blood from her vulgar mouth. The tingling behind her eyepatches pierced straight out and towards the enflamed Taka. She could tell that it wasn't Katon rising from within him and coating him like armor, yet that only meant that she didn't know what it was.

The fatigue from her earlier surge was setting in, but she fought through the deoxygenated, knowing that the strain was fare better than what would become of her should she stay stationary for long. Still, she had to do more than just run, especially since she didn't want to be pitted against both Taka and whoever else was on there way in response to the alarms sounding throughout the base. Thus, when she moved, she dodged, ducking just to the side of the brute's haymaker and then the one that followed after that from the opposite arm. While Taka had more strength, she was still nimbler without question, and when the second strike narrow missed her she retaliated with a punch to her own focused more on precision then power. As with her kunai before, her knuckle-gutting fist to Taka's kidneys, normally enough to debilitate a target, staved right off the man.

Stepping out to the side and backing away, Asuka gritted her teeth as she whipped her hand right back and shook off the flames that came with it. She had burns now on her backhand. Leaping backwards just as Taka came at her again, her unburnt hand reached into her belt and flipped up long pipe she caught first in her hand before slipping it between her lips. The Kiseru hung from her mouth as she landed, fingers coming together to form up a few signs before one of them stabilized the chimney before she gave to quick puffs outwards for Katon: Supa Shuriken no Jutsu [Fire Release: Ember Projectile Technique]. The two shrunken of ash that shot out were headed towards Taka, who was quick in tow. Instead they shot straight up and not with much force behind them, though didn't stay lingering in the air for long before the trailing scarf around her neck took shape from her chakra molding to form up two dragons heads that struck out like serpents against the clumps of charcoal.

The two serpentine dragon heads mimicked the movements of her arms, and became doused in the black ash she had just produced. Instead of dodging this time, she intercepted Taka's charging punch catching the man's fist in the fanged maw of one of the heads, which were raised now like second arms though larger than her originals and with a greater reach. As the teeth bit down, the force of the reception pushing Asuka back along with it, the ash she had covered her scarf end in gave it enough protection against the flames that it could do what her normals hands could not. As she regained her footing, a few feet further back now then where Taka's punch first made contact, her other arm was already cocked back and she shot out a hooked punch to the air in front of her, causing the scarf to match her movements. Instead of hitting air, however, the thing pound the side of Taka's face, not relenting with just one hit. Asuka grunted as she loosed several similar punches over and over again, though with the last of her strikes Taka caught it in similar fashion to how Asuka was still holding his other hand.

The brute lifted Asuka straight up from the extended arms as he turned, pulling the Yamanaka girl clear overtop himself as he brought her down to again slam into the ground, all before spinning her around and throwing her like ball and chain towards the rocky cave found in the center of the enclosure.

Asuka hit like a meteor, making rubble out of the side of the small hill. Laying almost flat with her back propped up against the stones in the same manner that she had landed, she barely to move to pick herself up as she saw Taka coming back at her through the dusting rising up around her. The scarf no longer mimicked the arms on her battered body, though somehow she still had her smirk. "Bout d@mn time!" She gritted just as she managed to proper herself up into a crouch.

As Taka charged her, seemingly with nothing now standing between him and finishing the task he had been assigned, a third person entered the mix, though not on the ground. From behind Taka, flying at him in a high leap through the air, was the petite blonde that had formerly been living up a nightlife before this madness had begun. Armed with one of the broken bars from when Asuka had been thrown through the caging, the unknown woman used the black bar like a spear, aiming to skewer Taka straight through the chest with the surprise attack. However, like Asuka herself, the petite girl made sure to target a non-fatal zone. Instead of targeting the left side of the chest, which housed the heart, she struck for the right more up towards the shoulder, though still with enough force from her jump to pierce straight through a body.

A back and forth fight to say the least, that was the duel between Keiichi and Ashura. Being restricted to taijutsu, Keiichi could only rely on the physical advantage his bloodline had given him since birth and his father's teachings but Ashura had both technique and experience on his side, not even counting his chakra enhanced blows that seemed to go right through Keiichi's black scale armor. Had he been able to use his full abilities then the fight would have been over a long time ago, he would have finished it in one move, that's how much of a counter Keiichi's abilities were against Ashura but the handicap wasn't just leveling the playing fields but also helping Ashura edge out a possible win. The two crash their left feet on the ground between eachother's legs and deliver a powerful punch to the other's face sending them both flying a few feet back until one crashed into a wall and another into the metal fence of the zoo.
Ashura was the first one to get to his feet, he felt no pain or exhaustion unlike Keiichi or any other person.

"S'good brah...s'all good! Youz strong yo, but i'ma gonna end it here yah dig?"

Keiichi resisted the powerful urge to tell Ashura to shut up and go screw himself, if he were to talk it would blow his cover instantly since Ashura would undoubtedly recognize his voice. Instead he just picked himself up and took a couple of steps forward while placing his right hand on his left shoulder and suddenly jerking it forward while pushing the shoulder back with the right hand, setting what seemed to be a dislocated shoulder back into place, an act accompanied by a gruesome sound. Ashura simply chuckled at the scene.

"I'ma gonna show yah something I ain't never shown anyone but the boss. Mah secret technique!"

Ashura placed both closed fists to his waist, his legs spread apart and he lowered his center of gravity while turning his body sideways. The moment Ashura mentioned what he was about to do, Keiichi jumped into action as he had no time to waste. He knew the technique, he had seen Ashura use it once before so he knew the fatal flaw in it, that Ashura was left wide open for an attack a second before unleashing it. However, the sudden impulse to rush at Ashura was not so much driven by the opening but more from knowing the power of what Ashura was about to release, it was something he didn't want to have to handle even if he had all his power available.

Ashura opened his mouth to call out the name of his technique, chakra swirled furiously around his arms and he was about to turn his body when Keiichi's hand suddenly connected with his face, grabbing it in such a manner that Ashura's eyes were covered. With his vision obscured, Keiichi could play to his strengths again as the black sleeve around his right arm turned into a blade which he immediately used to disconnect Ashura's head from his body. Ashura's whole body immediately stopped moving and dropped like a sack of potatoes to the ground, the chakra around his arms fading away like a soft flame going out. Keiichi turned his body and threw Ashura's head away like a baseball, deep into the zoo...he knew it would take Ashura a minute or two to get himself back together and that would be enough time to make his retreat.

If Taka were one to think deeply on plans and the future, he would surely be surprised by the unexpected second attacker that came from behind, skewering his shoulder blade with an iron bar, however he was never a thinker but rather a doer, one that acted on instinct and worried not for anything but the present. Taka's face met the ground with a loud thud as the force of the attack not only managed to punch a hole through his body but also pushed him down to the floor, stopping him in his tracks completely. The pain from the flame overwhelmed his senses already so another source of pain was easily ignored as just another reason for his body to hurt, nothing else...more pain to add to the immeasurable amount he was already in.

Despite the metal rod sticking out of his chest and back, Taka immediately pushed himself back to his feet, stumbling a step back but regaining his balance just in time to stop from falling once again. His fiery left hand reached out, grabbing the metal bar and without any sort of hesitation he performed an act that would make almost anyone grimace as he pulled out the foreign object in one go and threw it to the side as if it were nothing but a minor annoyance. Now, normally his abnormal healing ability would immediately kick in and heal the wound on his chest, making it almost as if it never happened...but his healing ability was already working overtime, keeping the flame attuned body from going out of control and burning him to a crisp so the best that happened at the moment was the hole being burnt to prevent him from bleeding out. His left arm on the other hand, became useless and hung limply to his side.

And without hesitation, Taka charged forward, using his still good left arm and legs to attack Asuka, ignoring pain and wounds.

Being thrown off the beast of a man, made all the more menacing from the flames, this new girl landed with a scuffled roll before picking herself back up now positioned in a triangular point between Asuka and Taka. Though the enflamed man, who even outside of combat did not appear as the most astute, may not have noticed it, there were a lot of similarities between the two females he was now pitted against. Granted, the similarities weren't strictly physical down tot he roots. The petite woman was a dirty blonde, whereas Asuka had raven hair. There were a clear height difference, and the new girl had nothing to speak of Asuka's ample endowments. However, in as far as their wounds went, they were spot on. Burns now along both hands and feet from where the ambushing woman had contacted against Taka's protected body. Scraps ran along the same side of the face, not just from the most recent tumble but also from the pummeling Asuka had been dealt up until this point.

Asuka, having already expected something to erupt amongst the gang even before she knew how directly she'd be involved, had already been in the business of setting up traps and advantages long before this night ignited. She had been sending out this girl, Rin, to mingle with the meager ranks of the gang for days now. No cover story was necessary to make friends, as the girl had been a part of Karasu no Ha before having her body snatched as a means for Asuka to exit the rotting corpse of Ashura. It was a difficult task, maintaining a Shinten Bunshin no Jutsu [Mind-Body Clone Technique] over such a range and intensity. However, Asuka could manage it. The one downside of the technique, though, that she could not circumvent is that whatever damage one of her bodies received was reflected also in that of the other.

"Thoughts?" The petite girl smirked.

"Keep him busy."

As Taka charged the two women switched place. Asuka leapt out of the way, and Taka as determined as he had ever been to pursue his target, was sure to follow. However, Rin intercepted, pulling out form behind her a pair of twin sai, both of which she plunged into the brute at both the left biceps and the right pectoral. Ultimately though, and especially when airborne, the much smaller girl that was even shorter than Asuka's real body, stood little chance of impeding the procession.

More burns formed on Asuka's bodies, though the raven-haired woman fought through the pain as she formed up several hand signs and braced her main arm as lightning started to coil around it. She didn't need much time, so even as Rin was thrown violently to the side she had been given enough of an opportunity to mount her first solid counter offensive. The lighting gathering around her arm traveled down and collected at the tip of her first to fingers that were intentionally now pointed out. Charging forward herself to clear the gap between herself and Taka much quicker now than if he was left to his own devices, as the brute threw another sweeping strike, Asuka nimbly leapt up. Instead of aiming to clear over him now, she went straight forward, her feet planting themselves as she essentially crouched on his chest. Her two irradiated fingers plunged into the small opening left behind from her clone's spearing move, and with a flick of her thumb she fired.

BANG!

Raiton: Sogekihei no Jutsu [Lighting Release: Sharpshooter Technique] A bolt of lightning shot out of the tips of her fingers and cleared straight through, pointblank, Taka's body. Though she could have targeted anywhere, as her technique can typically pierce the body, the unusual epidermal armor of the man would have likely shielded him from her technique had she started off with it. However, with the still open wound on the man's right chest, she not only had an access point that led to his softer inners, but inners so close to the heart that she could temporarily paralyze the organ with the off surge of her bullet.

It was a heavy blow that Asuka managed to deliver to her fellow Obsidian, she had made the right choice. The lightning tore through his body, making Taka spasm before and after hitting the ground and tumbling along for a couple feet afterward. While Taka was someone who ignored both pain and injury to complete the tasks given to him, his body was still relatively human, at least in that if his body became paralyzed then he'd be unable to keep going forward.
He tried getting back to his feet but right after putting his weight into both hands and attempting to push of the ground his body just gave out and he crashed back down.

Unable to move, the flames coming out of the cracks around his blackened skin died out and the cracks went dark. His skin began to crack even more, pieces of it starting to fall from his body slowly at first but increasing the pace every second and in the place of the skin that was burnt to a crisp was a new layer of smooth and perfectly healthy skin. Not only was the damage from the fire being healed at a high pace but the wounds he had received were gone in a matter of seconds as well, steam leaving the wounds as they healed and became as if nothing happened.

As his body healed, no longer burdened with keeping the flames from destroying itself, Taka's eyes never left Asuka. The moment his hands healed, he closed them tightly and slammed them knuckle first into the ground, a second push to try and get to his feet but while he didn't crash back down, he was unable to stand up. Instead, something else was happening to him, his right arm gained a bluish tint and several bumps began forming on his skin. The left arm also changed but with a red tint and cracks like before began to appear. Thanks to his lack of clothing it was easy to see that eventually his whole body began changing again but in patches, parts of his body started to gain different colors and characteristics than others. However before anything more came of it, a voice called out.

"Stop, that's enough Taka-chan."

The green haired sister of the supposedly assassinated gang boss landed gracefully next to Taka, placing her hand gently on his head where the hair that had been burnt off had already grown and patted it. She smiled back down at the man who, following her orders without question, reverted whatever he was doing and went back to his normal self.

"Be a good boy and go rest for as long as you want."

She said to him, before turning to the two women.

"I do hope BOTH of you are having fun."

And without another word, she calmly left the premisses. Taka on the other hand completely ignored the woman he had tried to kill before and dropped back down on the floor, curled up into a ball and instantly fell asleep.

Elsewhere, "royalty" had enough of the insolence outside her chambers! To think that people had the gall to cause noise so late at night while she wanted to sleep.
Queen stepped out of her bedroom still dressed in her pink and golden nightgown, the moment her "subjects" laid eyes upon her, their world went dark as literally everything they could see was a deep darkness, except for one. She stepped closer to one of the gold members that followed her, he couldn't do anything but look at her as she grew nearer.

"What's going on?"

The man quickly explained what had transpired, how there were rumors that the boss had been killed by Asuka and that the rest of the Platinums were either trying to keep order to hunting her down. Then the world went black for him as well, the last thing he saw until she left the room was her unexpected reaction to the news.

The massive discharge sent Taka's body down and Asuka along with it. She pushed off the shocked titan, hitting the ground hard as she slide to a rough stop along her left side. She was near to her end, exhausted, battered, and bruised. New scrapes ripped along the left of the still standing Rin, the connectivity of the two bodies tying them together in pain and in partnership. That last technique was more of a last ditch effort than a well planned assault, but born out of this desperation grew also the will to push on, the knowledge that if she faltered there'd be but one outcome. Pushing herself up, even without the use of the arm that had just shot out the lightning-born bullet, the woman clinched her now limp limb at the elbow as she peered down at the smoldering husk of the other Obsidian.

"Think it worked?" The petite woman sneered as she looked between her tattered counterpart and the charred, unmoving corpse before her.

"F^(k if I know," Just as she said it Taka attempted movement causing the petite punk to jump despite not startling her mental match. Asuka's only reaction was to forgo her hold on her arm and reach behind her to grab out her tanto that started to heat in her hand.

Giving the blade a small toss, she flipped the heated steel over so that it protruded towards her thumb as she rushed with what little speed she had left. Drawing her arm up towards her opposite shoulder, she aimed a sweeping slash of the flame enhanced blade down towards Taka's throat even as his fist prepared whatever technique he was working towards. The only force that stopped the both of them was the intervention of Seiteki in the quarrel. Unlike the brute, Asuka couldn't be ordered around by Keiichi's peculiar sister, yet she still stopped her final assault as it was born out of homicidal intent, even if she doubted it could succeed now. Forgoing her former reservations to try and leave the asset of a fighter alive. Instead, she had aimed the enhanced cutting edge of her blade at decapitating the beast, though the necessity of that ended when it had been put back on a leash.

"Lots." Asuka jeered with a twitch as she returned her blade behind her with a sleek ring. Her eye didn't drop from the green-haired girl till she had gone. Not paying mind to her would-be better currently curling into the fetal position, Asuka limped her way over to the other body her soul was inhabiting. "I think it's time for you to go away." She said as she lifted her one remaining arm up with an open palm that was pressed against the petite girl's forehead.

"If I didn't know better, it'd say we're starting to care about how this turns out." The spoke confidentially as the flesh connected, continuing to scold herself. "It's just a job, don't forget that."

"Will you shut it and assimilate already?" With a final blink from the two-eyed punk she was gone. Vanished, the only trace of her left were the changes in Asuka. All the cells that had made up the body claimed by the devilish woman were rushing into the battered body of the bruised woman. Her burns healed, cuts closed. However, it was more than just a physical repair, as whatever chakra the petite girl had flooded into Asuka to replenish her supply and cure her fatigue.

The effects of the absorption were clear, as the woman started to shake the arm that had fallen limp after her last attack. Giving it a few flicks of the wrist, she clinched a fist as her neck rolled to either side with a crack. Turning to talk away, her feet stopped only momentarily as she crouched down and recovered the unique pipe that had fallen loose in the fight. Taking a swing from the device that lit up at her command, a fuming line of smoke escaped the side of her mouth as she paused before taking off up and out of the enclosure and back into the core of the zoo.

It had been a long time since Queen had felt so angry and pissed off, one look at her and anyone would see that she was just about ready to mentally break anyone in her path just to let off a little it of steam. She wanted to the leadership of the gang for a long time, she had considered herself superior to everyone in there from the moment she had joined in the merry band of lunatics and freaks...everyone, but him. It wasn't love, it wasn't admiration nor any kind of debt she owed, for some reason Queen had always felt that he was different, that he was a born leader like her and even she felt like following him without even realizing it herself. She could never put her finger on it but it was like his unique brand of insanity managed to infect her in some way and pull her to his side, his sick and twisted side where life was suddenly more fun than ever before.

Asuka ended that, she never trusted the woman, but now it was personal! All she could think about was turning the woman's brain mush, she just wanted to break her!

Her eyes widened in shock and surprise when she felt something on her back. Queen stumbled forward a couple of steps and turned around, revealing the knife sticking out of her back. She saw the perpetrator, adding to the shock that the whole situation provided. Queen's legs gave out and she dropped to her knees, but she wasn't done yet, her eyes focused on the assailant and attempted to unleash a barrage of mind breaking genjutsu that would make the person regret ever meeting her but nothing happened. Surprised with her failure to cast genjutsu she then noticed what that person was holding, a mirror...just like the man she had fought days before, the same mirror that canceled her genjutsu at a distance.

Queen desperately reached out with her waning strength, trying to make contact with the assassin where she knew she could provide an effective mental attack, but a blade came down from her side, cutting her hand of in one single swipe. She screamed in pain, looking to the side to see not one but several men coming out of the night's shadows, one carried a bloody sword that had just been used to cut off here hand while the others had a large variety of weapons in their hands, from metal pipes to baseball bats. They surrounded her, the assailant turned around and left as they raise their weapons and brought them down repeatedly.

Elsewhere, Shou slowly opened his eyes. His whole body was in pain, his vision was blurry and his memory was hazy, he couldn't remember exactly what had happened, just that one moment he was attacking Asuka and the next a large explosion hit him like...a large explosion and everything went black. As he sat up and rubbed the head, which hurt more than any hangover in his life, he saw three people he recognized perfectly, three Golds that considered themselves part of his "faction" and by their feat was an unconscious man, Queen's most trusted follower, beaten and bloodied.

"Sup boss, hows yer head?"

One of them spoke up when he noticed Shou moving, all three released a chuckle while one kicked the still unconscious man.

Her pace slowed, unintentionally. It was hard to keep focused, hard to kept hints straight with the massive headache setting in smack-dab in the middle of her mind. More specific then this, it was in her in her hippocampus, the portion of the brain that consolidates information from the short-term and long-term memory. It was a side effect of total assimilation, all the memories that had been suppressed in a body flooding through Asuka before dissipating. Unfortunately for the Yamanaka, it was also the portion of the brain that controlled spatial navigation.

"Rin, wait, please!" A male voice called out from behind her. It was night, or just dark. It looked like they were outside in the zoo yard, but little specifically could be made out. Even the hand that reached out and grabbed her looked like little more than a silhouette.

"I told you to leave me alone" With a righteous fury she snapped her hand back and turned around screaming at the intrusive man. "Go hit on some other girl!"

Backing away and rubbing his hands together nervously he boasted up what little defense he could. "It's not like that…I mean, it is, but not this time…"

She hit against a tree, catching herself from otherwise hitting the ground. Her one eye winced as she shook her eye trying to shudder off pain and maintain her focus. The odd dis-continuum made foggy what had once been clear, only sharks of color and detail showed up at any one time with Rin's body being the only outstanding feature of the blurred memory rushing through Asuka's head. Were she not fighting it, she could see more, but Asuka wasn't looking to stroll down someone else's memory lane. Taking a few more steps, her gait was forced and flimsy. It wasn't far before her stance gave out on her and the woman toppled down, front first, onto the ground. After that the blackness took over.

"Wait, wait, just hear me out." It was a different time, but just how much time separated the conversations was unclear. Minutes, hours, days? Nothing could be told about the scenery as the silhouetted man approach with his elbows bent and hands up in a passive surrender.

"Take the hint, I don't like you! Besides, aren't you supposed to be devoted to her?"

"No, no, it's not like that." He said as she picked his head up from a depressed slump to a rejecting shake. "Sure, that's the way I have to act, but I don't love her like I love y--" Rin wasn't waiting around to hear it all again. She made to move only to stop when he called out again trying to redeem what he was about to say. "I'm sorry, that's not what I came here to say."

"Then what? Spit it out!" She yelled again.

"Listen, things are going to be changing here soon." It was certainly not something she was expecting to hear from the confessing man. The statement was so odd that she raised a worried brow. "I mean, think about it. Boss has brought in so many odd types it's only a matter of time before something's got to give."

"What are you saying?"

"I just don't want you to be on the losing side, ok? I could come with me, join us, and then when it all goes down we could---HEY WAIT!"

Rin didn't stick around to hear the rest. Instead, she turned around and started running. She had intent, purpose. She had to get to the boss and warn him when all of the sudden the scene was hit with a splash of color. The detail poured out just as Ashura dropped down in front of her. Startled by the zombie-man, Rin fell backwards. The fear wasn't just from the surprise, but legitimately came from the person who it was in front of her. All of the higher ups in the gang scared her on some level.

Had it just been Ashura, Asuka might not be seeing things as she was in her memory. However, even in her unconscious state, she knew what was happening. It was a rare moment when her own natural memories and those from one of her past victims intersected.

The zombie's hands rose to form a very particular shape foreign to the fingers, and after a pulse of chakra Rin was no more.

Asuka's eye shot open. Still laying flat she punched the ground angrily before pushing herself up with her fist. Standing up, she groaned in frustration as her hand rose up and covered the half of her face that wore her eyepatch. The pain in her skull was starting to subside. The memories of Rin had finally ran out. "Who was he?" She spoke to herself. It wasn't really the question that she was asking though. Knowing who it was that longed for Rin didn't matter at all to the woman who couldn't care less over end the chances of star-crossed lovers. What was really important to the woman was who was it the man from the memory was allied with? It was a woman. That much was clear from it. More specifically, it was someone that demanded to be adored.

"B!t(h" Asuka cursed as she put it all together. It just so happened to be someone she wanted to cross in this excursion. Two fingers raising up to cover her eyepatch, she focused her perception to hunt down her new target.

With her pace restored, Asuka made straight for Queen's den. She avoided the meager patrols already after her by staying to the rooftops, and she did not come down from those heights until she was already poised to pounce. Jumping down from the building, she toppled over one of the two guards posted outside of Queen's lair before making for the second. Never minding the sword the man drew, Asuka jumped up and locked her legs on either side of the man's weapon drawing arm and used the momentum of her jump to take him down. She used to leg lock to dislocate the man's shoulder painfully, causing him to dropped the weapon as she rolled over and stood back up, grabbing ahold of the back of the guard's shirt and dragging him up before pushing his face straight into the side of the building. Tortuously, she yanked his disjointed arm up his back in a hold that was both immobilizing and incredibly painful.

Spit splattering against the side of the stone his face was pressed hard against, he looked back to Asuka with the peripherals on his one side. "They'll know it was you." The threat was choppy, filled with both a fear of death and the effects of the shock his body was going into. No longer able to protect his charge physically, he desperately tried to discourage the Black Widow from what she would do next. "If you kill my Queen they'll know you did it!"

Behind the pair, the first guard Asuka had fallen on top of had already gotten up. Instead of assisting his partner, he was already running off to alert anyone he could that the Black Widow had picked a new target in her assassination spree.
