Tomoushii's eyes were filled with fear, anger, sadness and guilt; sweeping over him like a chilling wind. But just as quickly Tomo's eyes welled with tears that melted the chill of the words that came to his mind like snow and reminded him how much the girl loved him, and how much he loved her.
"You say the most depressing things sometimes Nisara." The new kage said, "I am moved to tears at the picture you just painted."
He wiped his eyes, and continued, "But I would never take any position that would separate us, we'd be on the first boat to Kumo and I'd retire before that happened."
Tomo put his free arm around her and rubbed her arms up and down to fight the cold wintry air. The carriage awaited them, and they sat down inside. Tomo never left her side and wanted nothing more than to comfort the doubts in her mind and soul.
