I have a wonderful announcement to make today. As of this moment, every single person currently serving Kumo is eligible to earn several, if not many, service medals for your bravery, devotion to duty, and enduring valor in times of need!
Currently, we have one person In Kumo who as of this moment has earned his own Medal.
Congratulations go to Arzur for being the first Ninja in Kumo history to earn the "Survival Medal". For his selfless service while on a dangerous mission to keep the peace, being wounded severely while in the line of duty, and his complete and utter mission success he should be given a good pat on the back.
Now, to all of you still in Kumo, who believe that you to are worthy of such honors, the Summit of Kumo has called for a call to arms! You all as of this moment should take the time to look over these Medals, Combat badges, and Service ribbons. They are ranked accordingly from most honorable to least.
You may earn these through your ninja career while in Kumo. Not only that, but these badges and Medals will ultimately make Mods look over your profiles for Exams and Promotions, and becoming leaders within Kumo. Keep in mind, these are earned, and the Council in Kumo be in agreement when honoring players with higher ranked Medals. Ribbons should only require one mod to take a look into, for example...
You are requesting the "Academy Service Ribbon". Should you hold the rank of Genin, you have earned this ribbon upon your graduation from the Academy. Of course, this is simple and plain. Should you hold a Genin in Kumo, they will claim this Ribbon almost Automatically (Provided that you have informed a Mod and they have confirmed your membership in Kumo).
Now, several months later, you are requesting the "Naval War Medal". You make your case by claiming that you, and your team, were engaged while on the high seas. There is criteria for this though. You must have been in this engagement during a Kumo related mission. Weather or not you WON the engagement does not matter. What matters is if you upheld the rights and honors that Kumo provides during this battle. IE - You did not turn tail and run and you fought bearing the colors and honor of Kumo.
Mods will read the topic (At least the part(s) where you earned the Medal) to check up on this. Don't think you can just request Medals and think that you will just be given it. You can be turned down for Medals you apply for. Still, should you apply for a higher ranked Honor, you can be given a still slightly lower ranked one, pending a Moderator discussion.
Not here, but soon, a template and application Topic will be posted, where you can apply for them.
Below is a list of the current Medals offered in Kumo. Be sure to keep tabs on the ones you think you have earned, but I warn your right now...
Piss me off, by that, I mean asking for medals every thread you create, or simply trying to apply for the highest medals every single time you can...and I will start taking medals away, or bar you from receiving honors....
You have been warned.
